      lol what an idiotic post

      finals MVP: best player on the finals (two teams)

      season's MVP: best player on the WHOLE NBA

      timmy has won back to back MPV's and more finals MVP's anyway. he's still waiting for kobe to step it up a notch

        Kobe has the better skillset. which is shown by Kobe's 5 Championship rings

        And not just that Kobe should have won the MVP in the 05-06 season it was highway robbery.

        Basically... F*** em lol
        I think some of you are getting the impression that I'm trying to imply that Nash is a greater player than Kobe. Well, I'm not. My first post was an attempt to poke at p4p's statement, nothing more.

        But while we're at it, lets not use championship rings as a barometer on who the better player is, it's just wrong on so many levels. Rings are not individual accomplishments, if they were MJ would have won one every year he was in the league (minus the wizard years). Kobe's first 3 rings were mainly attributed to Shaq being the most dominant force on the planet rather than Kobe being Kobe.

        PS - Laker fans should thank Tim Donaghy for one of those rings. My kings should have won it back in 2002 if it weren't for 20+ ****ing foul shots in the 4th quarter.

              No he didn't, scoring 81 points in one game doesn't automatically win him the MVP. There were more players aside from Kobe that were more deserving that year (Dirk being one of them).

                He averaged 35PPG for that whole season. He carried his team to playoffs. Nash had two All-Stars, Amare and Marion.

                  No!

                  Floyd jr have not broken the undefeated record of Rocky Marciano (49-0; 46KO and 6 by decisions);

                  Floyd jr FAILED to win the BWAA's Fighter of the Decade Award and Fighter of the Year Award!

                    Winning the scoring title isn't everything. MVP measures the players importance to his teams success that year, which is why Nash won it. The lakers barely snuck into the playoffs that year while the Suns were jousting at the top of a very competitive western conference. Same thing can be said about Dirk, although he wasn't as important as Nash to the suns that year, he was still a big reason why the Mavs finished 2nd in the west.

                    And so what if Nash had Amare and Marion? I could use reverse reasoning and say Amare and Marion wouldn't have been AS's that year if it weren't for Nash facilitating that offense.
