The worst is definitely Fernando Vargas lol. Career died too young. He could have been 40+ fights in now if he was marketed better.

The best marketed would be De La Hoya.

I was gonna say Morrison and Gerry Cooney as well. At least as far as fighters not really living up to the hype.

Best marketed fighters most be those most well known and that would be Ali although he was marketed by himself. DLH and SRL deserves mention as well.

Gerry Cooney was actually announced second in the introduction (traditionally the champ always is) and Holmes was already champ for like 5 years. Blatant disrespect and racism. It's kind of ironic that Larry Holmes didn't seem to have good promotion himself. He was grossly underrated. Maybe thats stems from him being a douche, but that doesn't change the fact that he was a great heavyweight champ for 7 years and he deserves respect.

Its not hard to market a fighter that can really fight. Do some research and look into Primo Carnera, if your research gets deep then you will agree with me that he was the best marketed fighter ever...........Rockin'

The best marketed fighter is DLH. DLH lost to BHop, Trinidad, Mayweather, Pac, and Mosley. Not to mention he lost but recieved gifts in the Sweet Pea and Quartey fights. What elite fighter did DLH beat that there was no controversy? Hell he was even given a gift vs Shaq. But if DLH came back today, he would still do close to 1mil buys.
