And you think that any boxer who beats someone in the Amateurs can beat someone in the Pro's ?

Yeah Douglas is another example of wasted talent , couldn't stay out the fridge either lol.
i haven't seen the fight but now you mention it the referee ****ery rings a bell

i know didn't ivan claderon beat miguel cotto as an amateur i couldn't see him doing too well with him now lol
it applies in some cases though eg vernon forrest and mosley

i just think that bowe obviously didn't want it with lewis for some reason hence im giving the nod to lewis but truthfully the fight could've gone many ways

Agree'd about the fight going many ways but the way I see it is at that time Bowe some what "matured" faster as a Pro then Lewis did, probably because of Eddie Futch, and would've beaten Lewis in 93' when the fight was supposed to be, any later and Lewis would beat him with relative ease imo.

The Olympics final could of gone either way and was a good fight, would of been great too see how the fight would've gone on if it went the distance.

Bowe's peak was 91/92 and he was a pretty much shot boxer by late 95, if that isn't wasted talent I don't know what is.
        Lewis would've smashed Bowe.

He knocked out Bowe in the ams, and Bowe didn't want to fight him after that. Bowe could fight but he wasn't THAT great of a boxer, Lewis would outbox the hell out of him.

Bowe signed to fight Lewis after he lost to Holyfield (seems to be a little known fact but there is a video of Maloney saying this) but McCall then knocked Lewis out and the fight was dead. Anyway at the time Lewis wasnt very highly rated its easy to look back now and say he was but if you watch a lot of fights from that time you will hear the commentators often say how Lewis was not very highly regeraded by some people, The Holyfield fights where massive at the time once he lost to Holyfield there was no reason not to fight Lewis.
Back on topic i really do feel Haye's career has lost all momentum in the last 2 years.

He'll beat everyone except the twin towers of the HW div. His power in either hand is just amazing.
