Conte also said Mayweather should man up and accept the 14 day test floyd set forth...
    wait

Mayweather moved up not one not two but three weight classes in 9 months too?

After the famous second round when Shane almost shocked the planet, he was suddenly an "old" fighter.

You can bet that if Shane would've knocked Floyd out cold with that one shot, Freddie would've been calling out floyd on all the news stations, and Bob would've had Manny on a flight to Vegas that same night with a contract for team Mayweather to sign.

I would have love to hear Freddie's thoughts when he saw Shane getting manhandled.
To my knowledge, Roach never wavered in his stance that Mayweather would beat Mosely. I doubt he was surprised by the outcome at all.

Exactly right. Conte needs to keep himself relevant. Tygart made statements that they may consider working with the "evil chemist". I'm sure Conte would like nothing better than to see USADA testing become mandatory in certain aspects of boxing, therefore increasing his chances of staying relevant in some form or another.

I've asked this before and perhaps someone else has posted on this but... Does anybody know if USADA protocols even allow them to abide by an established cut off date for testing (even if both parties agree)?

Roach never wavered from his stance that Floyd wouldn't fight Shane either. Even as they were negotiating, he claimed Floyd would pull out.

            • What I find funny is that while he was beating Barrera, Morales, Marquez, DLH, Hatton & Cotto, no one ever said Manny's on steroids. But the minute Floyd says it, then it must be true!!! Come on people....

                • I was never su****ious of Pacquiao until he refused to take the tests and came out with 101 excuses. That's what made me su****ious.

If he was clean, why didn't he take the opportunity to make the Mayweathers look like fools by taking the tests and proving them wrong?

If I had to bet my house on it I'd say he's clean, but he's done himself no favours by handling things this way.

I think it's all publicity to hype the fight even more. I knew when Pacquiao beat Cotto in November, there was no way that this fight was gonna take place in March. I knew they were gonna hype it up for a year & who knows if even more. The sad thing is if the fight goes down & lets say Pacquiao wins, some people are gonna say that the 14 day cut off time wasn't enough, that he should've been tested up to 7 days before the fight, or that he should've been tested as he was walking to the ring lol.

It seems like a desperate attempt to tarnish a mans career by accusing him with no evidence WHAT SO EVER..

I like the Lebron analogy above.. LBJ is a beast at his young age, he must be on PED's.
This is a case like it or not were Manny's legacy will be tarnished. but there is still a chance he can deflect the criticism. accept the random tests. at this point it's gone further than bending to Floyds demands, so he should just accept... Unless he's not clean that is...

By the way as far as LeBron you are right he was a beast at a young age, but thats the diffrence. Manny may have been good but not exordinary...
