That's what my poll was about before. I don't believe Haye is scared to be beaten or knocked out.

But this would be an awful matchup, integrity-wise. Hard to defend even on the grounds that it could make some dough.
It's purely a payday fight, am i thrilled about it? no

but i can see why he's doing it.

Haha, I guess that includes Haye himself, too. He calls himself "undisputed" in every interview.

There's no integrity to the matchup, though.

And he would have left much better matchups on the table to take it.

It isn't a Mayweather type 'damned if I do/damned if I don't' situation. There's no argument you can make for this being a worthy matchup.

And we have no idea how long he intends to mess around with soft matchups.

This would be a voluntary defence, remember. He'll have mandatories next.

Should Haye make it a point to fight the winner of every Prizefighter Tournament?

It would be a real money maker every time now wouldn't it lads!!!!!!

                that would of been smart.
Why not do it that way? After all Holyfield did it the right way. And Haye is the one that claimed he was going to clean out the HW division of all the what did he call them? The big fat bums. Well at least he has gotten part of it right because he sure has fought a collection of HW bums. And as I said earlier I would not have issue with the course of Haye's career or the opponents he has chosen to fight if not for the fact that he made claims he has not backed up. And he even had the chance to start with the two best fighters in the division and make a lot of money while doing it. And to top it off he did not even deserve the shots he was getting and he still turned his back on a chance of a life time. So, how anyone can take anything that Haye says seriously is beyond me. I guess in the end it is as simple as the old saying goes. Because Haye may have simply realized that his mouth was writing checks that his ass can't cash.

I just noticed that this fight is listed on Boxrec under Hayes name in November, so is it a go?

Does anyone actually believe that Haye will do an about face and fight an opponent who is ranked in the Top 25 in the World?

I don't even know how he is allowed to face Harrison without getting stripped.

I thought that even in the case of an optional defense the opponent still had to be rated in the Top-15 of the WBA's rankings, which Harrison is not.

Not only is Haye probably gonna make 25% of what he would fighting Klitschko but he is probably gonna spend 10's of thousands of dollars paying off the WBA to rank Harrison.
