There are not 7 better fighters than Hop, and I couldn't put Ward in pfp over Chris John or even Shane Mosley. Ward might've made my bottom 5 pfp list, but that's not for surer. Right now Ward doesn't belong yet. Ward needs maybe one more big win in the super 6 to gain a top 10 spot...

after having a more competitive fight than it should have been with Ornelas and that foulfest with Rjj, I would disagree.

Other than that though, its a good list.

But he won, and Hop is not retired... Hop's last loss was to a highly ranked pfp Calzaghe, and that fight was a very close fight...

Sure he won but you have to rate their performances and against what opposition too and he is not performing on a world class level anymore as an elite fighter.

If it were just about wins and losses this would easy and JC jr. would be P4P #1 because 42 have tried and 42 have failed.

You don't lose your spot when you are winning...and the JC Jr. comment was a bit dubious as I'd like to think I'm talking to a knowledgeable boxing fan... We can agree to disagree...

Hopkins shouldn't be third. End of story.

Well, P4P is all imaginary anyway so anyone could rank anyone who is a world beater anywhere they want and it would be hard to make a sensible argument against.

The Jr. comment is just to illustrate a point about it being a matter of opposition and how you perform against who, not so much merely wins and losses.

We can agree to disagree but if this Bute fight with Hopkins happens and he wins and looks good he would be right back on most ppls lists.

                    Mine:

                    1) Manny Pacquiao
                    2) Floyd Mayweather jr
                    3) Ivan Calderon
                    4) Sergio Martinez
                    5) Paul Williams
                    6) Miguel Cotto
                    7) Juan Manuel Marquez
                    8) Chad Dawson
                    9) Timothy Bradley
                    10) Andre Ward

Yea I know I put Martinez over Williams and Williams "beat" Martinez..but not in my eyes..and since then Martinez has went on to beat the lineal 160lb champion in Pavlik while Williams struggled and got another bull**** gift decision after that ***** Cintron took that dive..So that's my take on that..

Until Joey Calzaghe breathes his last breath he is number 1. He's earned it.
