I was a big Jones fan before I heard he failed the test. And just because he failed one doesnt mean that was the only time he took them. I mean, Why would you take steroids against Richard Hall and not take them against guys like James Toney, Virgil Hill and Bernard Hopkins?

It saddens me as well. And really puts a damper on his career IMO. I love Roy Jones and consider him one of the greatest but naturally you have to wonder how much that influenced his accomplishments. I forgot which magazine it was from around 1998-9 where they would ask four experts to pick the winner of a possible showdown (KO Magazine?). In that particular issue, the experts were asked who would win between Jones and either Hopkins or Michalczewski. Montell Griffin was one of them. I think he picked Jones and noted Jones' underrated strength. He then made a comment that Roy had really gotten big. He continued, "I don't know if he's lifting weights or something but he definitely got bigger." You could tell he believed something was amiss. There are many more who we may never know about.

how come when hall(right after testing 10x over the limit) went back to the comission to test it was negative the second time?

Roids enables you to train harder and longer so guess what: It does make you faster, more athletic, more skillfull and better conditioned.
