The impact on his legacy is that some call him "roid jones junior"

I don't think it made much difference tbh, the guy was class.

too bad Pacquiao had his reputation crucified from allegations & yet Jones, even though caught, feels like only a tiny blemish on his legendary career that nobody cares

He most certainly did test positive.

I'm wondering this. We will never know who uses and who doesn't PED's. This same testing Jones went through did not catch him using in other fights. From what I read the amount of the steroid or whatever bannedsubstance that was in his system was so minute that he was not fined or suspended because they say the amount found in his system would not help him gain n advantage. Jones bought some over the counter medicine which had the minute amount of whatever was found in jones system. Do with this what you wish...

Andro isn't a steroid in the typical sense. IIRC, it's actually a prohormone, and while quite similar to steroids, is not quite the whole thing. Apparently, Roy claims he took "Ripped Fuel", which he bought from a GNC. I won't hold that against him, when you look at all his accomplishments. At the same time though, I will say this: Roy is still to this day, one of the most ripped boxers I've ever seen. I know boxers train religiously, but he's just on another level. The guy is yoked like no other. Same with Manny Pacquiao, which is why I'll always hold these guys under steroid su****ion. I used to think the same thing about Shane Mosley, and sure enough he was on all sorts of stuff.

You might as well add Bernard Hopkins to your list as well.

I mean, its not like these guys treat their bodies as temples or anything.

Nah, it couldn't be that, because everyone takes care of their body the same right?

I forgot which magazine it was from around 1998-9 where they would ask four experts to pick the winner of a possible showdown (KO Magazine?). In that particular issue, the experts were asked who would win between Jones and either Hopkins or Michalczewski. Montell Griffin was one of them. I think he picked Jones and noted Jones' underrated strength. He then made a comment that Roy had really gotten big. He continued, "I don't know if he's lifting weights or something but he definitely got bigger." You could tell he believed something was amiss. There are many more who we may never know about.
