Personally I like watching boxing, I mean seeing a war is good if you're in the mood for seeing it, but I would much rather see a boxing match simply because I don't only watch it as a fan, but also as a student of the sport.

Anyone from the site knows that I like watching a good defensive fighter, who can inflict maximum punishment to his opponent and at the same time keep the punishment he takes to a minimum..A big problem in the game right now is that many fighters with good to great chins rely on their chin rather than fall back on it. I don't know why alot of fans think just because one fighter doesn't take alot of punishment doesn't mean it can't be a competitive fight...look at Jirov vs. Toney. With that said, what's so great about watching two fighters beat the brains off of each other?
I think people who only like wars arn't real boxing fans. You have to be able to appreciate the sweet science. I also like defensive fighters...

I agree, a good chin is to fall back on, not to rely on.

Corrales/Castillo was a classic and clean war. Alot of good inside boxing going on there. There was alot more going on than each guy taking clean shots from the other guy.

amen...when nigel benn fought the G - man it was one of the all time greatest wars i've ever seen, but they both got ****ed up in that fight. i like a good brawl, now and then but when i see one guy getting a series of powershots to the head i can't help thinkin i wonder how long it's gonna be before no one can tell what language he's speaking. i'm a boxer, i'll tell you, there's nothing like having good D. NOTHING.

Unfortunatly for Diego he doesnt have a very good defense. Fortunatly for us this means he gets into wars.

Just like Gatti. People like exciting fights and thats why Gatti had such a big following but you have to pick the right fighter to put him in the ring with. I enjoy watching fighters like Winky and BHop just box people to death but seeing an all out brawl is good **** too.

I like fights that fighters show lots of skills...but I can't stand fights where people run...

Sugar Ray Leonard who was a great champion was a very good boxer, but he ran a lot and that bored the hell out of me...

              Hector Camacho was a runner...

              DeLaHoya was a runner...(sometimes)...

At this point of his career Hopkins runs way to much, not that it's a bad thing, but it's boring to watch...

Winky Wright doesnt run but his style is very boring, cuz the first round of his fights will be the same as the 12th round...

I LOVE watching Mayweather fight, he doesn't run, but he has awesome defense with awesome offense...he doesnt run...he fights without getting hit..

              Same with Whitaker and Toney..
