heavyweight somoan alex leapai anyone know much about him?

fought tomatocans until 2004 & was inactive until know.he's fighting travis walker next week & then owen beck six weeks later...that's a major step up.i find it odd since this guy got beat by 3 tomatocans,go on a hiatus for 6 years & makes his comeback vs walker & beck in a six week period.2 legit gatekeepers....I got respect for that but I've never heard of this guy.cameron, tua, meehan have never fought him locally so he's a enigma to me...anyone got inside stuff on this guy? Maybe an Aussie or kiwi can help get me some info...I want to get some tapes on him.

He's on the small side for a heavyweight, the power looks legit, his handspeed is OK but his technique isn't anything to write home about, quite crude. According to boxrec he's fighting Travis Walker next, Walker has a good chance of stopping him unless he gets caught.

He has the interim wbo pacific HW strap at the moment I believe.Hes a bum thats been fighting tomato cans for a while now. He lost to a guy that was 33-23 according to boxingrec, and thats all you really need to know.

Walker is shot beyond shot, and actually retired before taking this fight, guess he needed another payday. Leapai trying to pump up a record with a "name" like Walker because his people know Walker's done. I think Walker can still spark him. He'll keep fighting bums until he picks the wrong one and that bum will take the title. Such is life.

walker is not a total bum.he's a gatekeeper who has dynamite in both fists but he is onedimentional & has a suspect chin.he can knock you out if taken lightly.arreola I don't think is a bum,he is what he is.the new tim witherspoon.lots of talent, power, heart but can't fully reach potential because they like to eat.

Oh totally agree, not arguing that, what I'm saying is he's been brutally KO'd twice since Arreola. He went down flat on his face well after the punch had been landed against Banks, and when that **** starts happening guys have to worry about their health.

Which is why Leapai's guys are jumping on him. They think he's shot and want to get his name on their record now that he's damaged goods.

I bet he blows out both knees before the age of 30... it's kind of like a right of passage for Samoans.

I've seen Leapai a few times. He's ok but no Tua. T. Walker has been a favorite opponent of late. He cooperates and doesn't last the distance. Not a measuring tool, but neither was Bob Mirovic!
