What would have been different if Cotto DIDN'T Hire Steward for Foreman??

Obviously minus the Leg Injury as well..

Would Cotto have still dominated in the same fashion..?
Would he have looked more gassed by the time of the stoppage..?
Would he have actually STOPPED Foreman?..

How do you think he would have looked with Santiago as the Head Trainer again..??

Nothing would have changed. Cotto would have won anyways. I thought Foreman was going to beat him but it was just the styles. Cotto has the style to beat Foreman and Foreman doesn't have the power to hurt Cotto. Steward wasn't in the ring with Cotto hitting Foreman..it was Cotto vs Foreman hitting eachother.

I'm not sure, but I saw him use the right hand alot more then I'm used to seeing. He should use it more though, he has alot of power in that hand. So I guess that? I'm not sure. I mean we all know Cotto is a master at cutting off the ring, and he has always displayed a great jab. That's all I could come up with.

        I still think he wins.

But he probably catches more straight rights.

        Its defiantly more competitive.

Steward gave him confidence back and that can be the difference between a L and a W sometimes.

stewart didn,t make a difference... cotto fought a guy who fights his opponent with no offense... the only thing stewart did was help cotto pick a tomato can....

              It's a good question.

I think the one thing that stood out that could have been difference was Patience.

Cotto let the fight come to him, he didn't get all macho, and I think Steward had a lot to do with that.

Steward is not gonna develop Cotto's repertoire, but he can help him fight smarter, and I think that's the key.

A guy like Pac, I don't think Cotto can ever beat. He just doesn't have the physical attributes.

But a guy like Margarito, I think Steward can help Cotto beat cause Cotto just needs a few tweaks in his game plan, he has the tools to beat Tony.

                Great answer..

Before Cotto walked the aisle toward the ring they pointed the camera at him..and he didn't look all that focused..he looked quite worried to me actually..

But than the faceoff came..and that intensity and fearless look came right back as he stared down foreman..and he looked more confident than ever in that first round..and he kept that confidence all the way through..

What I liked about this combo (Cotto-Steward) is that Cotto ACTUALLY LISTENED!!..he put his pride and stubborn ways aside and follwed the gameplan Steward gave in between rounds..

I think with out steward Cotto would have neglected the jab and the body work all together..he would have taken many more flush hits..and probably cut in the process..

I'm glad Cotto trusts Steward and follows his instructions..that played a crucial role as it will in future bouts..Steward is extremely intelligent and he'll guide his fighters to W's as long as they listen and follow through.

Nothing against Cotto, but Yuri just ain't good enough to truly gauge what Steward has done for Cotto. I think Cotto would have still won in the same fashion.

Cotto's jab was much more crisp and he used it more effectively than he had in his bouts with Margarito and Pacquiao, and even fights prior to those two.

His footwork was also improved and he was able to cut off the ring very well against Foreman, who like's to move and dance. Cotto totally shut him down aside from the right hand's he ate all night.

Steward helped Cotto a great deal, IMO and if he had Steward for Pacquiao I think we'd have seen a better fight.
