Chavez Jr, under Roach, should make a really good career.

Funny how people on here know jack **** about boxing. Chavez jr had no amateur career, so he basically turned pro and learned how to fight as a pro. That in itself is a huge accomplishment, after 40 fights of basically learning he's getting bigger fights and has a great trainer. The only thing people should be bitching about is Bob Arum using his name to make money. Let's see some of you guys just turn pro and see how far you get. Alot of boxers have had more then 100 amateur fights and could'nt make it in the pros. Really, you guys should give the kid a break, do some research before you call this dude a bum.

How do you mean? He took the training serious with Roach, and I've never seen him look as good as he does now, and that's just the start.

I dont care the way he looks, he is completely dead on his feet. Might work against mexican cab drivers, but not even against the top 20 of welter-sww.

That's why he's got a new trainer in Roach. Dead on his feet, you ever watch any of his fights? Hahahahaha, at the cab driver comment, I remember when Greg Haugen said that to Sr, and Sr knocked his ass out. Besides, the majority of his fights have been against Americans.

Yea, but that's always been his style, kinda like his father, picks his punches, it's not a carbon copy but close. This is his first fight under Roach so I'm not expecting too much. But Ithink he'll get alot better with more training. I remember what Roach did for Johnny Tapia, took him to another level.

this kid is not going to acomplish much, he is riding his fathers jock strap that's why he is even under arum. Duddy sucks but I beat he kills this kid. Duddy has been in the ring against good fighters. Jr hasn't

He is simply not talented enough to be an elite fighter ever, the best trainer in the world can't turn someone who just doesn't have the goods into a great fighter.

If that somehow happens and Jr. does over some period of time become great, it will make me question how special these "special fighters" really are.
