I dont think Mayweather has any problem giving Pacquiao those revenues in that order. As for Arum claiming he showed Pacquiao's fights in 50 countries more,I would be happy with a link which shoows such.Arum is also good at inflating things. At the end of it all,the question is how much money was generated from those 50 countries?
Does Pac Honestly Think He is a Bigger Name Than Floyd Mayweather?

of course you can mention Pacquiao without mayweather, same with the other way around. The thing is the sheer presence of a superfight as big as this, would even generate fans that can only be gotten when these two fight if you know what I mean, which is why I think 50-50 is fair.Common sense can be wrong, common sense used to tell people the world was flat so we wont go with that.Measurable parameters differ from common sense e.g Pacquiao is not more popular because his gate takings dont prove that neither does his ppvs.
Pacquiao & Mayweather both came to the UK,Mayweather recieved a bigger reception.Do more people know Pacquiao more in Asia than they know Mayweather? You cant mention Pacquiao without mentioning Mayweather so I dont get where this popularity thing comes in.
Someone like Mike Tyson was a world wide phenomenon, when he moved around the world ,towns would come to a standstill,is there evidence that Pacquiao has the same effect?
If you say you cant know who is bigger worldwide then you can say the same for America, nobody knows for sure, yes mays fight did 150k-200k buys more when they both led the card (oscar led the card when they fought him, he did the pulling imo, so I am using may/mos and pac/cotto). You gotta factor in other situations, such as, promotion, if pac had the same promotion as mayweather did for mosley, his fight could have done more, nobody knows for sure.
what we know is that pac pulls ion 800k on his own with a nobody, we dont know what mayweather can pull in with a nobody like clottey, common sense would suggest around the same, since with marquez, a huge mexican fanbase in the usa got 1m buys, he must have accounted for at least 25 percent of the buys imoComment

Please show where you discovered how many countries show Floyd's fights. I want proof of this.It is generally common sense, The fact Arum showed pacs fight in over 50 countries, more than mayweather. Just as commons sense suggests an american superstar like may would be more popular in america, a foreign superstar would be more popular worldwide, especially if he entertains. In the sky sports monthly magizine, they stated in their rare boxing section Pac fight with cotto drew more than mays fight with mosley here in the uk. They pay money on a number of viewer based system
This is why I said, if may wants a 60-40 deal for usa ppv, it may be fair to some, all tho I think 55-45 or even 50-50 is fair, but pac generates the £££ outside of USA, he deserves like 80-20 of that revenue.Comment

I agree. You should conduct a study and let everyone know how it all goes.Common sense can be wrong, common sense used to tell people the world was flat so we wont go with that.Measurable parameters differ from common sense e.g Pacquiao is not more popular because his gate takings dont prove that neither does his ppvs.

Manny is universally more popular than Floyd, but I’d say they’re as well known as one another.
Most people buy PPV to watch Manny fight, most people buy PPV hoping to watch Floyd lose.
Floyd himself has publicly acknowledged that people watch him fight in the hope to see him lose.
Not all, of course! Personally I’m equally a fan of each of them. Both are brilliant. Unfortunately on this forum most people are incapable of liking both boxers.Comment

thats the question and the problem. if it generates quite a bit of money, the two greedy promoters would not give pac a fair deal, arum will try to get the money into his own pocket and oscar will try to get a 50-50 deal despite pac being bigger outside of usa while still arguing for 60-40 in usa.I dont think Mayweather has any problem giving Pacquiao those revenues in that order. As for Arum claiming he showed Pacquiao's fights in 50 countries more,I would be happy with a link which shoows such.Arum is also good at inflating things. At the end of it all,the question is how much money was generated from those 50 countries?
This is why everything should be down the middle 50-50 which was fine 6 months ago, what predictions are they using?
it is true that fans will watch mayweather vs a nobody
it is true fans will watch pac vs a nobody but nobody knows how much each guy will be responsible for when they fight each other, its fair to say some of them fans will only come when those two are put on the same stageComment

Superb post, I agree fully, one day I am dissing Pac fans for making some dumb ass posts and another day like today I am dissing floyd fans for posting ****Manny is universally more popular than Floyd, but I’d say they’re as well known as one another.

I wish there was a neutral forum made for itComment

Never mention promotion as a factor,it's part of business. If no one knows about your product then promote it.Pacquiao was never stopped from promoting, infact he hurts business. The last time this fight was negotiated Pacquiao only wanted 2 press conferences for such a big fight.this shows another reason why Pacquiao deserves less,he brings less brains to the tableof course you can mention Pacquiao without mayweather, same with the other way around. The thing is the sheer presence of a superfight as big as this, would even generate fans that can only be gotten when these two fight if you know what I mean, which is why I think 50-50 is fair.

Can you prove this?Where did you get such a lie from?Manny is universally more popular than Floyd, but I’d say they’re as well known as one another.
