pac-cotto outsold the floyd-marquez fight by the same margin floyd-mosley outsold pac-cotto. But the first negotiations was 50-50 so what has changed.

Your missing a fight...................Pac/Clottey. You cannot wish that fight away, as much as you would like to. You don't compare Pac/Cotto(which took place in '09) to May/Mosley(which took place in '10). As simular as the numbers where for that fight they are non-comparable as they are out of sequence(09 vs. 10) and are not using "common" opponents(As dates of fights are fairly irrelavent when using "common" opponents as a barometer). When talking terms of PPV the honest way to look at it would be to use the same approach that the entertainment and corprate industry uses when conducting thier normal day to day operations which is....................the "what have you done for me lately?" approach. Looking at it in this regard would pit May vs. Marquez('09 as well as common opponent.....two birds with one stone. IDK why no one saw what Mayweather was doing, most where caught up on the size difference and not seeing past that) against Pac/Cotto('09). This match up is why Pac had the upper hand in the 1st round of negotiations. Then you put Pac/Clottey('10) against May/Mosley('10). This is the proper way to view the past two fights for Floyd and Manny. Not how you all have been doing trying to match numbers, the numbers must be in sequence unless you are using "common" opponents.

He didn't go to the media, the media came to him. They asked a few questions and he gave an honest response. Not only that but he has already responded to Floyd proposal and is just now stating to the media what he told Floyd's team a few days ago.

Ok that 50/50 was fair, I mean pac could have argued in his favor saying that Hatton is not a draw in America and PPV is only in America. If it was Floyd in Pacs position he would have demanded close to a 70/30 split in his favor

how do you figure that?manny fought miguel who brings more money than shane does, as good a boxer as mosley is he has never generated alot of money and doesn't seem to have a fan base and floyd sold more ppvs against shane than manny did against miguel.how manny ppvs has shane done in the last couple years?his last 2 ppvs are floyd and miguel.

Im talking about THIER upcoming fight. If it really does 3 mil buys there is no way Floyd brougtht in 60 % of the people. If he consistantly did 2 mil buys or close to it then yea he deserves it but he did nowhere close to that.

Floyd picks the fights that bring in the most money but pac doesnt. Im sure pac knew he wouldnt get much PPV buys when he picked clottey and could have done more against other fighters.

If there were any 2 fighters in history that deserved a 50/50 split its these two

Some of you need to understand that boxing is a business and while Pacquiao is just a fighter Floyd is business man this is how he makes his money and Floyd is gonna make sure he gets everything he is worth he is not gonna short himself just because you guys wanna see a fight

In several of your posts in this thread you keep saying that people only paid $25 to see Pac/Clottey in Dallas. I would like to know where you came up with that amt? During that fight, Max Kellerman was interviewed in between rounds in the crowd saying that it cost $35 for standing room only (and $50 just for parking). You seemed to have based your arguement on that $25 amt. and said that people are willing to pay more to watch FMJ fight than Pac. You nullify your own arguement by basing it on incorrect #'s. You also said in your posts that Philipinos gather in masses to pay for a PPV fight (Pac) - as if people of other cultures don't get together all the time and have a party to enjoy a fight (and split the cost of course) in support of their favorite fighter. What does that have to do with the fact that real fans just want this damn fight to be made so we can see it sometime in our lifetime? Unless money from this fight is going directly in to your own pocket, I don't get why some people care so much about the money split.
