this thread should be in the lounge cause it barley has anything to do with boxing and people r just gonna argue about religion as usual.

It's very understandable that people don't want the boxing ring to be used as a propaganda tribune. Neither for politics nor for religions.Comment

I think praying to a god is kind of apropos when the guy across the ring is trying to take your head off.
I mean anything can happen and maybe with some luck your god can keep you safe.
I mean I wouldn't like it if you were praying to god playing tiddlywinks but the guy across the ring is seriously trying to maim you , so if a higher power works for you, more power to you.Comment

It's not hurting anyone. If you don't believe in it or agree with it then ignore it and move on with your life. You're not watching him sacrifice babies or trying to convert infidels in the name of his faith; he's simply proclaiming his own personal beliefs. It's bound to happen when you put a camera and a microphone in someone's face and ask them questions about how they feel.
If his harmless displays of his faith bother you, that's your problem. You're the one with the hang up.Comment

What happened to just, you know... ignoring something you don't want to hear or see, especially if it isn't remotely harmful to you?Comment

Its kind of lame and very pretentious but ehhh whatever......I am more focused on their in ring performances than whatever superstitions they subscribe to in order to get themselves mentally ready for almost certain pain.Comment
