who cares what people think, that is HIS belief and HIS Religion

kind of a contradiction though because Salita and Foreman was getting praised for their Religion...

If some boxer wants to talk to his imaginary invisible friend or thank him after winning a fight I have not problem with it, as long as he doesn't blame his bad performance on his imaginary invisible friend afterwards.

I think you are wrong. At least say that it's just your opinion. I am uncomfortable with all the ostentatious caricatured religious c****roo that goes on in the boxing ring. It has NO place in the ring, it being a purely personal belief and should not be an attempt to show that one is "holier than thou" as it always seems. I feel the same about the religious crap scattered all over the posts of certain individuals.
I respect their desire and fervour, but that does not mean that it should be shoved down my throat. If they only knew how ******ly silly they appear with their slavish and exhibitionistic displays of "piety" they would cringe.....as they damn well should.

If they'd lived in the days of the early "saints" they could have contributed to their immense outpourings of "pious forgery" ........as it's now termed by scholars of religion .

Nowadays there is no need for us to be subjected to their psychological cravings.

            I agree 100% with this.

Btw, just imagine two christian fighters facing each other, who's winning? God's more beloved son or the most talented man because they're both asking god for protection and all that stuff.

Yes, that can cause a problem, can't it. We had that situation in WW1 when each opposing army was being addressed, before battle by clergymen and priests, each telling the poor kids that "God is with us".........

I am an atheist, so it is all amusing to me. I don't really care that much.

What I find interesting is that when these religious people win its "I would like to thank God for this win" but when they lose they don't say something like "God made me lose." All the successes are God's but all the failures are mine

There is no Big Brother up there. Get over it. You win because of your hard work and talent. Period.

Yes man, that's the hypocrital part that people don't get. People take for granted that god is on their side and bla bla bla, so what happens if you loose?
So it wasn't part of the plan of god? That's a very primitive way of accepting defeat.

It's like some religious prick told me that Haiti's earthquake was because they're a pagan nation, man, I was about to punch the ****er just for being so ignorant. Damn I just hate religions, it's not Ward's fault, let him thank him all he wants.
