I don't know why you're so fixated on being technical, is it because Mayweather is a supreme boxer and defender that the only way is to outfinesse him?

Not the only way. It is about timing, pacing and the "kill"...at least for Pacquiao.

As much as Corley and Zudah have given Mayweather some really stiff challenge, I can also see Pacquiao utilizing some of those. Pacquiao being a southpaw to begin with challenges Mayweather to the core also.

But I am also a fan of Mayweather. A big fan due to Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard in him...both.

But for every thesis, there is an anti-thesis. We can't just overly intellectual to justify our thoughts. Such is life, we tend to overly think what we do and what is much underrated is the simplicity and the sheer enjoyable experience of living that it defeats the purpose of the purported definition of "success".

Same thing in this match up if it would ever happen. We can cut it, dissect it, argue over it and disagree with it. But this match can also be a bore or simply one-sided.

Or it can end in the most seemingly out-of-script kind of a fight: by one punch.

We would never know. We can only speculate. This isn't much of disapproving your points or as much as a chest-thumping point over you.

This is just a thread that we can all culminate and argue. Your points well-taken.

I would rather have the fight actually happen than talk about it.
Agreed! Nice having a actually conversation with someone who doesn't flame me but answers me. Thank you so much.

I would say both Corley and Zab are far more technical fighters than Pacman. They have been in it for far longer. They both had long standing amateur careers where they were stand outs. Pacman never had that, this is why he doesn't have those instincts. Corley and Zab both had great technical ability, Corley just fell short each and every time. Zab is one of the more talented fighters I have ever seen, solid skills, great fundamentals, no brain, and an outstanding case of ADHD, to bad to because he could have been the fighter of this generation.

I can see your slant and angle on this fight, I'll give you that. But I don't necessarily allude to it just strictly. What Pacquiao lacked (and in your surmation, his lack of technical mastery and whatever that meant) compensates with his tenacity and ferocity.

Many of his opponents are left bewildered and battered also. Thus he is as much the YANG while Mayweather, the YIN.

The Yin and Yangs of life is such that though seemingly at odds and polarizing, they can be harmoniously be "designed" to fight both each other.

"Contra-Pelo" as one puts it. They can be and this is wonderful in the mother of all matches.

To say that Pacquiao lacks technical mastery of boxing is as much saying that Mayweather lacks true offensive firepower.

Both can be seen in the most unguarded ways or the obvious ways. Either way, they are instilled within their games.

      Let's start this fight already!

And Ali to me, is still the greatest. (thus loved the signature pics of yours with Ali in there)
Thanks. I know this man was too handsome for his own good.

To me, only a Clay or an Ali can pull off "insulting the other" as funny...while still having the grace of a butterfly floating while stinging like a bee.

            My take -

For Floyd to win.....he needs to stay defensive the WHOLE time....Pacquiao will be looking for any type of openings to put a dent in that armor (a'la Clottey).... Counter Manny's right hooks with his own Straight Right over the top....tie Manny up when he gets too close, but be wary of Manny's uppercuts/hooks to the body....keep the fight close to the ropes, if Floyd keeps his back to the ropes, he can catch Manny coming in, while Manny is throwing punches to his body or tie him up and turn him.

For Manny to win....Keep the fight in the middle of the ring, keep the distance between them to mid range (dart in and out), jab to Floyd's body coming in and shoot that laser left to the head, followed by a combo of choice (3-4 punches) and get out.....keep the workrate at 70-80 punches per round, MAKING Floyd counter those punches....turn Floyd when throwing the right hook.....LISTEN TO ROACH BETWEEN ROUNDS.

            Other things....

            1) Will Floyd be able to HURT Manny?

            2) Will Roach / Manny be able to "counter-adapt" once Floyd adapts to Manny?

            3) Whose footwork will be quick enough to let that fighter plant just long enough for that bomb?

Does this coincide with the 5 tenets of islam? (wink)
