Manny just isn't smart enough, PBF is always adjusting, Manny comes in throwing 100s of punches to KO someone. If you guys think that Manny has the power Mosley has you should rethink about your next post. Manny doesn't have one punch power. Manny only throws combos when he lands, if he doesn't land he seems to recompose him self jump in using his footwork and try again.
Manny doesn't have a stamina advantage either man. Do you guys realize how hard PBF trains? He throws a minimum of 5000 punches a day plus his work outs. PBF trains harder than anyone out there that is why he has always come out on top.
Man this is ridiculous everyone is acting like Manny can't be stopped when in this decade alone it has happened. Manny may not be the same fighter but just like the Morales fight(Manila Ice) he will go back to his scrapping style, it is his instinct and why we love him.
Volume doesn't matter against PBF, if you throw 1000 punches and land 170 and he throws 600 and lands 300 he was far more effective. PBF lands half his punches consistently in fights, Manny already has a low connect percentage now you want him to fight a guy with a defense? If he is lucky he will land 17%(more accurate punchers have landed about 17%).
PBF doesn't fight in rhythm that is one of the reasons he is so difficult to fight, he is constantly changing and only punches when he feels he'll land. Manny fights in rhythm and PBF will just like every other fighter find a way to disrupt their rhythm and prod at his weakness as previously mentioned.
I will get eaten alive for this but Zab is more skilled and polished(probably more talented at his peak as well) than Manny, he had a better defense, fundamentals, counter punching, speed, reactions, and power(questionable). Manny does have better footwork.
Everyone keeps asking how PBF will deal with the volume, but how the hell is Manny going to avoid the counter right all day. PBF has the best counters I have ever seen, cleanest and most accurate. When Manny comes jumping in with his 1-2 or 1-1-2 PBF will elude it and counter. Manny will be forced just like the rest to reset and than try again, this is how he stops volume punchers. Marquez slowed down his volume a lot and we know that PBF is a smarter more talented boxer with a far better defense, Pacman landed 25% of 600 punches against JMM.
Then the thinking part begins, he tries to figure out a way in, throwing the right hook might work whoops missed and here comes the left hook. You guys seem to think that Manny has an answer for everything, but the reality is PBF has an answer for everything that Manny can do but not the opposite. Manny is not a thinker, ironically this is his best feature, if he just goes for it all than he can win(never letting off the pedal).
Manny will be effected by PBF's power, not from a buzz stand point but from the stand point that PBF uses it so effectively. He will punch him at the right time, stopping his rhythm and volume.
Manny takes the first round and about the fourth round the rest go to PBF.Comment

I don't understand why he should stop asking about the drug test now, he should certainly reinforce the concept now that Pacman refused to test, he couldn't KO 126 pounders but he dispatches of 147 fighters with ease? Gets stung by 126 or 130 pounders(wearing winning gloves at that) and yet he can take a legitimate punch at 147. I find that hard to believe. I love Pacman his style is fun and he fights with heart, but he just needs to take the random test up until the day of the fight, it shouldn't be a big deal. Pacman made it into a bigger ordeal than it should be plain and simple.Comment

LOL yup because he agreed to every single thing pacman wanted originally and only asked for random drug testing so he was surely trying to avoid him. He gave up everything, gloves, ring, 50/50(make no mistake PBF is the bigger name, hate him but he is popular). One silly stipulation where Pacman could have outright cleaned up his name and put the man who tried to ruin his rep on his back and he wouldn't agree? Why wouldn't he take the damn tests? It is simple he was on PEDs.Comment

You may be saying the same thing but I would say that Floyd likes a slow game of chess rather than a fast paced game of chess. In a slow game of chess, either you or your opponent will be attacking or waiting to intercept 1 or 2 punches coming from your opponent.
If you notice, if an opponent throws 1 or 2 punches, Floyd is effective in either blocking, ducking, rolling or countering his opponents well.
If the opponent comes in with combinations then Floyd instinctively goes into his defensive routine and does not risk countering. Manny needs to play a higher paced game of chess.
Manny needs to:
- Step in.
- Combinations ONLY.
- Step out.
I should add, a Southpaw such as Manny, should be more effective against Floyd's defensive routine. So it's another area that Manny should try to exploit against Floyd.Comment

One of the key ingredients in truly objective analysis is one must put aside emotion because 99.9% of the time emotion detracts from rational thought. However, in contrast passion will almost always enhance rational thought because it drives one to educate oneself in a matter.
Lets give it a try…I have always admired Pacman since his fight with Barrera. It was so refreshing to see the passion in a young fighter like Pacman displayed against a smart and technically sound fighter like Barrera. Pacman is a great fighter period. The excitement buzz and passion he brings to a fight ..and lets not forget the huge “Heart” is what has catapulted Manny to the top of the boxing game today.
Yet, even with all these attributes Manny will not beat “Mayweather”. And we will see this fight make no mistake about it! Here are the reasons in order of importance:
1. Defensive brilliance.
2. Speed and all important “Timing”.
3. Boxing intelligence. (watch the Marquez fight again)
4. Ability to take a “bomb” actually two.. (The Mosley fight)
5. Strength (Mosley was shocked at the “strength of “Mayweather” ..he could not muscle “Floyd” around the ring… and Floyd stood toe to toe throughout the fight. Margarito could not do this against “Shane”).
6.Ability to adapt in the ring.
7. Unprecedented connect percentage… Manny takes too many punches…and he will be hit often and clean.
Summary: Remember this reply…it will serve as a blue print and a round by round breakdown of the “Fight”.:
I await your responses..............
BTW if you want an explanation for the red K, I will provide you with one via PM.
and lets go to fight.
and we will see what will happen.Comment

Unfortunately i look at like this, and these are two pivotal reasons why i dont think Manny will win.
1, he stops punching when he starts getting countered, so his renowned activity can be cut down.
2, he was lucky to get the win against a JMM who i believe had began to slide, and that fight was not that long ago, which leads me to believe he cant have improved that dramatically against smart counter punchers, not to mention Cotto was able to counter him pretty comfortably at times.
Hope im wrong though.Comment
