    the new heavyweight gatekeepers

the 90's had bert cooper, obed Sullivan, phil Jackson,David bostice & now monte Barrett(a former contender),nicholai firtha, travis walker,Jason gavern....Hawkins & Lawrence are getting old.I've noticed walker, gavern,Barrett & firtha are all fighting tough competition....good to have more solid pros like that to develope the division.

Walker is retired I believe. He's damaged goods, which is why he had three title shots in a little over a year. Promoters feel safe throwing him in with their guys, but I think hes done. He got offered *another* title shot after getting floored by Banks but turned it down.

title shots? You mean minor title shots like the nabf? Nice signature...the 2 whales comment is from Shannon Briggs vs mccline....I like if you don't take an opponent serious then he becomes a serious opponent...classic larry merchant...the next big thing became the next big bust...

I'm not an aussie, but I know of lepai, he's a strong puncher but basic, if Walker comes to fight he could beat Lepai imo

golota is retired,Rahman is on the comeback trail & he's no gatekeeper.Thompson is still top 10 & Rahman wins another fight vs a ahunsnya, walker, gavern, firtha type guy.if he wins get him boytsov, dimitrenko, sosnowski,or any top 15 & if he wins he's in the hunt for a title shot.he must get in shape...230-240 is best but I have seen him fight tua at 260 & he looked good that night.surprisingly rock threw 50jabs/round & took punches well at that weight.230-240 makes him very dangerous to all but I'm not so sure carrying 260 will work at 37....he could have an amazing comeback or a total flop...he's a 2 time champ so I'd say he's in the picture again.

here is leapais last fight against bob mirovic, who is past hes best but is a tough bugger and has had some credible performances.
the fight between leapai and walker which is the main supporting bout to anthony mundines next fight on the 30th. should be a real shootout between 2 blokes who can really ****.
it could well be a case of "may the best chin win" and i think alex has him covered. i hope so anyway
