As a special preview for HBO Boxing fans leading up to the Klitschko-Williams pay-per-view fight, HBO Sports will present the exclusive re-broadcast of WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko's three exciting fights against Lennox Lewis, Kirk Johnson and Corrie Sanders on Friday, December 10 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT) and Saturday, December 11 (3:30 p.m. ET/PT) on the HBO2 service.
Then on Saturday night, December 11, Vitali Klitschko (34-2, 33 KOs) will make the first defense of his WBC heavyweight championship when he meets the man who recently knocked out Mike Tyson, the explosive Danny Williams (32-3, 27 KOs) in an HBO Pay-Per-View showdown from the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT.
The HBO2 service replays of the three heavyweight bouts featuring Klitschko include his memorable June 2003 showdown with then-world-champion Lennox Lewis that was stopped in the sixth round due to a cut above Vitali's eye; plus his December 2003 stunning KO of Kirk Johnson in New York's Madison Square Garden; and his decisive KO win over Corrie Sanders in April of 2004 in Los Angeles that fulfilled the Kiev, Ukraine native's lifelong dream of becoming a heavyweight champion.
"Boxing fans love hard-hitting heavyweight action and HBO2 viewers will get plenty of big-punch action when they tune in for the special replays," said Mark Taffet of HBOPPV.
"It's the perfect way to get ready for the big Klitschko-Williams pay-per-view show."
For the Saturday, December 11 HBO Pay-Per-View telecast of VITALI KLITSCHKO VS. DANNY WILLIAMS, boxing fans will be able to watch the broadcast in High Definition Television.
