Are you kidding me? Did you see him fight Williams and McBride? In terms of actual boxing talent, it's Roy Jones! In terms of impact on the sport of boxing, without question it's Mike Tyson! -
Hahaha the Post-Catskills Tyson was nowhere near the talent of a Roy Jones at his peak.. but before Tyson left the Catskills (Pre-June1988), he was more talented than Jones could ever dream of being.Originally posted by EastCoastBoxingAre you kidding me? Did you see him fight Williams and McBride?
Against Lewis, Williams and McBride etc the guy was an absolute joke, but we're not talking about that

Don't get me wrong, I think Tyson "was" great and I'm a huge Tyson Fan, but he should have hung the gloves up after the Lewis thrashing! Tyson was a puncher, Jones is a boxer - that's the difference!Originally posted by JUYJUYHahaha the Post-Catskills Tyson was nowhere near the talent of a Roy Jones at his peak.. but before Tyson left the Catskills (Pre-June1988), he was more talented than Jones could ever dream of being.

Nah, he should of hung the gloves up after the Spinks fight(he hinted retirement at the time) because he had nothing left to prove and no hunger anymore, he only stayed in boxing as a freakshow one-punch-hoper who needed money and girls to keep his mind active and away from suicide.Originally posted by EastCoastBoxingDon't get me wrong, I think Tyson "was" great and I'm a huge Tyson Fan, but he should have hung the gloves up after the Lewis thrashing! Tyson was a boxer before he became a puncher, he was a trained boxer by Cus and his peak was probably four or five fights before Spinks - just before Robin Givens distracted him.Comment
