Green may of overtrained as he came in light but thats down to him really.
As a fighter who has had as many fights as him, he shouldn't be coming into a fight overtrained.Comment

Just as I said before Green is like Campbel when you here them talk they try to convince you that they are the best thing in boxing and can beat everybody. When they loose there is always an excuse on top of that they talk like boxing owes them something.
He looked bad when he won against Simms which is a crafty boxer out of his weight class, shorter, no power and didn't fight in a while. If things don't go Green's way he mentally melts. He is the type of fighter that thinks that once he hits his opponents he will control the fight. He has no plan BComment

This is the same guy who couldnt do a damn thing to Tarvis Simms who is old and short and way smaller than Green.
Green is a fraud, and shouldn't be in the tourny. He always has an excuse.
Ward came in and went to work. I didnt think Ward put on a boring performance at all and to beat the heck out of Green inside was nice work. You guys complaining about it don't know **** about the art of inside fighting.Comment

I agree that Green has more excuses than he has combinations; however, even I was shocked to hear he weighed in at 166...talk about being off the mark. He can only blame himself and his team, though. In the end, it didn't matter. He could not figure out Ward- undertrained, overtrained, it didn't matter. Also, I have to admit I was not overly impressed by Ward. I don't know why. He definitely dominated Green, but, other than the inside punching on the ropes, there were few instances of really good punch combinations on a fighter with mediocre defense. Ward can say that the reach advantage was an issue...but, really, reach only matters if somebody is throwing back at you, which Green did not and this should have been apparent to Ward by the 4th or 5th round.
Ward seems to frustrate people's style more than impose his own. He has a great ability to adjust. Nevertheless, I feel as if somebody is going to come around and really test him soon. Lastly, commentators comparing Jones with Ward is laughable. Even though Ward may be ten times more sound with his mechanics, a prime Roy Jones would have obliterated the Green that showed up last night. Roy Jones in his prime had special physical gifts.Comment

I've been sick these past few days, and I thought there was a speck of possibility that Green may have performed better than that sorry ass effort he gave. If I feel a lot better than I do now during his fight with Kessler, I am going to hit the fucking town and that's the god honest truth. I'm never watching any of his fights again. Dude has no heart.Comment
