Because he was the next best thing outside Taylor. Bute didn't want to fight in the tourney in the first place. I find it hard to believe the tournament promoters wouldn't try to get the best 168 fighter to fight in it.

Also, his only loss before Ward was a legitimate medical sickness. You can't fake getting part of your intestines removed.

He isn't that bad of a boxer. Ward was just the better man tonight.

Other than former CW champion Obali or whatever his name is and "the don" no one of note......but you can see that he has the ability and is skilled enough to be considered good.

Green is an underachiever and doesn't really think like a champion, this can make all of the difference at the highest level of the sport.

To be honest I didn't think much of him at first. I knew he hadn't really beaten anybody of significance so I didn't expect much. I did however think he would give Ward a more competitive fight, as I thought he would lay it all on the line since it was a big opportunity. I was wrong though because he pretty much just gave up in the fight.

What is your point? he is skilled and talented if you need to see him against specific opponents of caliber to see that then IDK what to tell you.
