Fighter of the decade means ****...when its compared to dollars and u know it. Tell me, how many more people are gonna tune in, because Pac was named "fighter of the decade"? If u can't count that high, I will tell u the answer...ZERO! So, explain how that is "bringing something to the table.
Floyd is 2x the entertaining as Pac is. Pac is ONLY entertaining inside the ring. Most people that enjoy the artistry and skill of boxing (and not just KO's and brawling) love FMJ and find him entertaining inside the ring. Many people enjoy his boxing(not brawling) and even if they don't like him, the haters tune in to see him get beat. Not only that, but he has charisma and the gift of gab, unlike Pac, whether he's speaking English, Tagalog or Visaya. Floyd is entertaining to some and boring to others in the ring. But he is entertaining to almost all outside the ring. Pac is interesting to most in the ring, but entertaining to almost no one outside the ring.
Might want to rescind that "walnut" comment. You are not even addressing the matter at hand, and yet you are thinking you've bested me. I never said that someone not speaking english, won't affect their drawing power in the US. My point was...WHO CARES! Its not FMJ fault that Pac wasn't born here. Do u think, that Floyd went to Oscar and said "since i was born black and not Mexican American, and Mexicans support Mexicans more than they do blacks, that shouldn't be used against me. I should get paid just as if I am Mexican American and a bigger draw than I am". Just imagine how far negotiations would've gotten, if he was using your logic(or lack there of).
Shutting down his own country does nothing for his PPV buys or the gate in the USA, so who cares. In the Phils, they are so desperate for almost ANYTHING positive, that, of course, they are gonna grasp onto Pac the way they do. For most, they only know poverty and hardship, so, someone like Pac, that can give them pride and make them feel good, they are gonna grab and hold onto. Been there and my wife is from there.
I do have a brain thanks. If u have one, maybe you can learn to read and address that matters that are actually in my post.
