lol @ people using reasons like "hes fighter of the decade! he has a belt!"

none of that matters. Usually you use your belt as leverage when the opposing fighter has either never held a belt at that weight or is the lesser individual in terms of being a challanger.

But miguel cotto had a belt and he had to take a lesser cut, not to mention, pac won that welterweight belt at a 2lb difference. Basically EVERYTHING was in pacquiao's favor, nobody was using that "oh he has a belt!" excuse then.

Not to mention, if we are going to use ranking, Mayweather is the number 1 welterweight, and while he has no belt, he would have likely vacated it anyway, to use the idea that belts matter in any way shape or form in this instance is foolish.

The reality is, from a numbers standpoint mayweather has the superior draw. Mayweather brings in more live gate. it doesnt matter if pac brings in 50,000 if hes chargin less per ticket, mayweather fights are expensive as hell, less fans show up, but more money is made, and he kills it on PPV.

Also, somehow i dont think 60-40 is real, using a flilipino media outlet isnt subjective or impartial at all. Until i see a western source from the BBC or US media outlets, im not believing ANYTHING out of that country.

The phillipines is practically a propaganda machine for pac.

co-sign. I think the eventual split will end up 55% in favour of Floyd. Or maybe even 58% vs 42%. With the type of money on the line 1% could equal up to a qurter mil or more.

i disagree...........i think Pac expecting 50% is pricing himself out. They know it's not realistic. They know they don't have the bargaininig power they had last time, otherwise why agree to the initial deal that was offered in the 1st round of negotations. The bottom line is that Pac stymied this fight from happening in March by rejecting a 14 day cut-off. In fact he didn't even reject it, they initially denied it was ever made.

If the fight doesn't happen,Floyd is the one to be blamed this time.It looks like Floyd is trying to find a way for the fight not to happen.I think it's gonna be like Tarver/Jones.Manny had got into Floyd's head this time.
