Lol no one cared about Floyd on Dancing with the Stars, he had two national campaign ads that ran it's course at the height of his popularity, which should have served to open up more doors for him, what has it done for him since? What are his current national endorsements? Drinks, clothing...anything? A monopoly set with his face on it?

If no one cares about Floyd then you need to explain his ppv numbers.

He gets better numbers then Manny, but you would never say that no one cares to watch Manny.

First big PPV...received exposure via HBO 24/7 off the back of the biggest PPV star of the last 15 years (Oscar), result big PPV numbers, it's simple math.

Second PPV...faced an opponent that many had perceived as entertaining and television friendly with a marketable personality, accompanied once again by having the promotional tool of 24/7 behind it.

I believe and this is only my humble opinion, that Marquez fight was more of a residual effect and that soon the luster of "the gangsta" persona will wear off and you'll begin to see the numbers dip if he faces anyone perceived as a soft-touch. In other words I believe you put together similar ingredients of Mayweather and Clottey coupled with the Dallas Stadium, one Floyd can't sell it out and two his numbers would be comparable to the 700k.
