This whole build up is smoke and mirrors. Calm down, ladies. They will go 50-50, there will be testing up to the 14 day cutoff, and it will finally happen. There's no way this fight isn't going to happen. Both guys should be grateful to have the other, as this fight will make them way too much money regardless of the split.

I say go the old Roy Jones method. Even split, 40-40, with the winner taking the last 20. Either way, both guys could retire happy when it's all said and done. It'd be amazing if it aired on ABC or something instead of PPV. Not only would boxing return to the forefront of mainstream sports, but the commercial endorsements would make them gobs compared to piddly PPV numbers that people will avoid by getting an internet stream, or going to a bar.

Did you really compare contract negotiations to catering to special interest groups...lobbyists?

floyd has a better argument for wanting a higher percentage

but 55-45 should be good enough,

. . . TBH i don't care anymore, too much drama between these two

**** any new news unless its a confirmation of the fight being signed.

            **** these guys

Money Pacquaio is also demanding the winner gets the rights to the nickname, "Money".

Another thing, Pac did 700K on his with own with no help from Clottey, HBO 24/7 or any other extraneous marketing schemes. Now granted the fight was sold as an event, meaning the new Dallas Stadium, but trying pairing Mayweather with Clottey and who is going to buy that fight, besides Lil Boosie and one insecure kid from Australia who probably wears tight shirts with a ton of bedazzler and yes you know who I'm aiming that at.

If he doesn't fight Pac and decides to take on a soft touch, then why not prove to everyone once and for all that you are the UNO and forgo the safety net of having HBO provide you a guaranteed % of PPV revenue, if you can bring in big numbers you'll see the same return anyway.

His numbers don't tell the whole story, when paired correctly he brought in big numbers (based on who was standing on the opposite side of the ring with him) and he received a bounce (residual effect) off of that with Marquez. The numbers predicted for both himself and Mosley came in substantially lower than what they had initially predicted, those numbers are on the decline...sooner or later that "gangsta" shtick gets played out, that's a short sale.

no matter what excuse you come up with. going from 1.25 with cotto down to 700k with clottey is terrible. and that hurt pacs chances of getting a 50/50 split.

there will be no 50/50 nor 14 days. suck it *******s
