I will have a newfound respect for hopkins if he takes this fight. Still a ***** for ducking Dawson, but to be retired by a white boy, and one that speaks french at that...well... lol.

Until the Super 6 is over Bute is in a catch 22 situation. There are no worthy opponents at the weight so anyone is going to look like a soft option. There is no point going up to 175 and facing a top 10 guy only to drop back down again when the Super 6 is over.
On the other hand its going to hurt him to stay inactive during this time so he is kind of in a bind.

Bute by crushing 10th round KO.

He's Romanian. He speaks okay French because he's willing to learn another language and isn't a dumbass.

Hopkins started his career getting beat by a white boy and dropped down 3 weighclasses afterwards. Getting KTFO by Bute would seem to be a fitting end to his career.

This would be a preview for how Bute-Ward would go, interesting.

                  I would favor Hopkins naturally.

Fight another fight with andrade in montreal i say and he can get a good turnout and interest.
I agree with you. However, Lucian Bute hasn't been fightin A-class or B-class competition. Andrade and Miranda were both C-class competition. He has been very well protected. All of the top fighters at 168 are in the Super 6 tournament, so I would like to see him fight a top quality fighter, even if it is an old-should-have-retired-three-years-ago Bernard Hopkins. If not Hopkins, I am sure Jeff Lacy is available. Lacy is not that good, but he is better than Miranda and Andrade.
