Risky fight for both guys imo.

Bute has never been in with a veteran like hopkins.

Hopkins is 45 and bute is both fast and powerful.

Not sure why people are hatin on this fight, sounds like it would be at 170 pounds so hopkins would be going down 5 pounds whereas bute can stay the same weight.

Alright, my favorite fighter B-Hop keeps pluckin' away. I know he talked about Bute but it's been so long, I thought he gave up on this.

I don't care who he picks to fight as long as he keep this, Above-40-years-old career going. He's entitled to fight who he wants at this stage.

I don't know what he can do against Bute, obviously he sees something or he wouldn't want to fight him, Bute is somewhat of a slick Martinez-esque fighter so at best it could end up being a competitive sloppy fight, with B-Hop smothering him and making it ugly. But who knows, Bute is still wet behind the ears as far as World Class Level/Championship caliber opposition is concerned, so even a 45 year old could give him hell. Everybody knows that Bute is a homegrown, protected fighter.


Personally I hope he takes that 0 and sends him back to Super-Middleweight.

I bet that's what you all said in general when the Pavlik-Hopkins fight was coming up.

But at least he'll get credit from you (I'm assuming) if he beats Bute. I see a lot of other comments where they don't won't him facing anybody but Dawson. It seems plenty are picking against him in this one, so it's more critics to prove wrong again.

I'm assuming they are going to make this a PPV event? I can't imagine very many people would pay $60 to watch Hopkins at this point outside of die hard fans... I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth seeing, but after the joke of Hopkins/Jones I know I wouldn't spend my hard earned money paying for PPV.
