    If Don King Died Today???

how do you think it would affect the division? i really dont have a whole lot of input on this but i am very curious as to what those of you who understand the politics of the sport think.

would it be good, bad, would nothing change?

i personally am fed up with the lack of real fights and the unspoken understanding by these promotors that the fights are s*it.

    boxing needs a bcs.

Maybe people would actually try and unify if he was gone....And he wouldnt be around to keep the belts from people that he hasnt signed..So IMO he he was gone it would be good...But i dont wish he was dead..just gone from Boxing...

Knowing King he'll probably be alive for another 10 years yet the bastard. That's if he ever dies because he is the devil afterall, the hair is just to cover the horns.

It would put Carl King (son) in charge.

So I have no idea what that means.

Is this like one of those ancient chinese proverbs? If a tree falls in a forrest but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

I wouldnt wish death on Don King, he has gave us some good fights over the years but I think his corruption has hurt the sport. If im not mistaken didnt King give us The Rumble in the Jungle? Whatever the case may be, Kings days are numbered (not in his living) but with so many big promotion companies and great fighters signing with them aswell. Already Golden Boy. Top Rank, Main Events have stacked up to Don King in recent years with good fights

Bull****. Don King has given us NOTHING. Ali & Forman gave us the Rumble in the jungle. King didn't do ****. He signed Ali & Forman to a blank contract & filled in the details later, and offered them money he didn't even have. It as nothing by a big ****ing scam on his part.

Not only do I wish him harm. I plan on making that wish come true personally.

King has done A LOT for boxing. To deny that is just ignorant. He's manipulated stuff, but he's no worse than Bob Arum or any other promoter really. The US Federal Gov't hasn't been able to pin anything illegal on King, except that murder back in the 60s.

Ali and Foreman might have fought without King being around, but it wouldn't have been the historic event that it was. Rumble in the Jungle is bigger than just boxing. It's one of those major events in history. One thing that bothers me about that fight is that I seriously doubt many Africans got to see the fight live, if at all.

That's something that pisses me off about Bob Arum. He claims to be all for Mexicans and ****, but he doesn't make their fights easy for Mexican people to see. Some of the poor hometowns that these latino fighters come from have families that can't watch them fight. Chavez's last fights should be free. He isn't PPV material anymore anyhow. Yes, I ordered the last Chavez PPV anyhow. And I'm sure I'll get the next one.

Carl King will pick up where Don left off. He's been behind the scenes forever now anyhow. He knows exactly how this business operates. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if he really is doing all the strings with his stepdad Don being the Barker.

Yeah, I would like to see him retire and leave the sport alone.
