Yes. It would have been a good time for that fight, But Floyd needed the time off to let his body heal and relax. And I have doubts that Arum would have made the fight happen, As we all know what Arum likes to do is make fights between his fighters and take the maximum amount of money. This is why we saw Cotto fight Margarito, Clottey and Pacquiao. All Top Rank fighters.

didnt want anything to do with Williams and a Mosley rematch at 147 and he blatantly ducked Mayweather at 140

and some would say him saying Margarito would never make a dime out of him is a duck since there is no evidence he was loading

His company makes his decision so technically he didn't duck Williams. Arum thought that was a bad matchup for him, and **** I agree. Mosley/Cotto was a good fight, but Cotto still got the win and deserved a good money fight. Now I have no doubt that he, or his company, is willing to give him that fight. As for May no just no.

Then there is no way in hell the public wanted to see May/JMM... the only reason that **** sold was cause everyone wanted to see how May looked after being out for a while.
Of course people wanted to see the Cotto fight, but sometimes its just not meant to happen. Cotto came into his prime just as Floyd decided he needed to take some time off. And when he came back, Cotto had just received a brutal beating at the hands of Margarito. And Arum was re-building his career so there was no point in the fight happening back then.

I agree to a certain extent about the Marquez fight, But I think alot of people look back on that fight the wrong way. They say "Floyd cherry picked this guy, He was a smaller man" yet they forget that Marquez and Pacquiao are the same size. So if he beats Pacquiao they will proberbly say the same thing. I hate excuses like that. Also you need to recall that Marquez could have easily been P4P#1 because many felt he really beat Pacquiao in their rematch.

The thing about Floyd that frustrates fans is that he fights for the money and for him first. Fans want to see the high risk fights but at the end of the day they arent the ones putting their health on the line. And if you are going in there you need to do the best situation for yourself, Of course you want to please the fans but it's not always about that.

People say "Oh Floyd ducked Margarito and fought Baldomir" but looking back on it you would have to say that was a good decision. Considering that Margarito was never a big draw and held a paper belt (WBO) (AND he was cheating) wheras Baldomir was the lineal champion at Welterweight.

                what a coincidence.

no they were the same size now they aren't. marquez is a lightweight and pac is a welterweight. just like adamek and dawson used to be the same size. should wlad fight chad dawson instead of adamek?

that's true he wasn't a big draw but baldomir was!
