He could have fought Mayweather or the Mosley rematch.

But I dont blame him for that. Bob Arum decides who Cotto fights.

As Cotto says "I want the big names"...

That means Arum can put whoever in front of him, and Cotto will fight. Something Mayweather doesn't do, and he can pick his d@mn fights himself.

Cotto wanted nothing to do with Floyd after the Gatti fight.

                Arum ***ed him up,
                Margarito(Beat him down)
                Jennings(A complete mismatch)
Clottey(Very Tough Fight, cuts becoming a very bad issue with him now)
                Pacquiao(Beat him down)
There 3 tough fights in roughly 16months Bob Arum gave him to many tough fights within a short space of time, he shoulda spread them out a bit more.

Don't you think that is bad business though? By Cotto allowing Arum to do whatever he wants he put himself in harms way, Hence being put in a fight with a man who had bricks in his gloves. Mayweather picks his fights but he fights the people that the public wants to see. People wanted Pacquiao but he didnt agree to testing so they moved onto the 2nd biggest fight which was Mosley.

I think it's smart business by Floyd. Allowing Bob Arum to dictate your whole career and steal 30% of your money is not good business. Whichever way you look at it.

I agree and disagree. I agree that Cotto should be more involved in who he fights, but May does not pick the fights the public wants to see. For instance, everyone wanted to see May/Cotto but he retired. Then there is no way in hell the public wanted to see May/JMM... the only reason that **** sold was cause everyone wanted to see how May looked after being out for a while.
