  • ***Official Ward vs Green Super6 Poll***

Who are you picking to win this fight on Saturday night? I'm picking Ward, of course. I like him by UD. I look for him to really take the fight to Green, but yet be more under control than he was against Kessler. Once he gets in his rhythm, I see him putting a bunch of shots together. But Green is a big guy that can punch. Therefore, Ward has to be smart in his approach and not get hit with nothing clean on the button by Green. Green talked about how Ward was ducking him when Ward hurt his knee where the fight had to be rescheduled, so I'm really looking forward to Dre boxing this dude's shoes off on the 19th.

    Vote in the poll

    67
    Ward
    79.10%
    53
    Green
    20.90%
    14

    The poll is expired.

Green lost to a one dimensional Miranda of all people, I wouldn't bet on Green over Ward even if it wasn't my money.

Man o man, do people realize that colon cancer is a bi*ch? Do people realize that Green had 85% of his colon removed sometime after that fight? Imagine you are rotting from the inside and asked to fight in a ring on TV....you going to have your best performance?

"On March 3, 2007, Green moved down to 162 pounds to face middleweight contender Edison Miranda. Miranda would win by unanimous decision in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The bout was televised on HBO, and was noted for Green's surprisingly unspectacular performance."

"Green returned to the ring in July 2007, disposing of Darrell Woods in one round. Days after this win Green underwent major surgery to remove 85% of his colon. Green has stated that the illness caused him problems as early as the Miranda fight."

Most ppl don't know about that though and I am willing to bet that more than half the forum had never seen any fight Green has been in other than that one which was a very poor representation of what he can do.

He would easily beat Miranda in a rematch.
