I agree the Williams fight was very close, but Williams was still declared the winner.

Possible fights with Cotto, Margarito, Pac, and Floyd are good reasons to stay at 154 imo.

        yeah i know

just sayin you don't necessarily have to win a fight to get another title shot at something long as you can show you can put up a fight you'll get shots sometimes

So yeah, what a ***** he would be if he moved to SMW and managed to beat Bute huh? I imagine the site would be littered with "Sergio ducked Cory Spinks" threads then if that happened. TS really schooled me on how boxing works now.

Dude shouldve kept the belt at 154. Any one who dissagrees is just a pure nut hugger.

Why? Seriously man. There is nobody of significane for him to fight at 154 other than Williams. And he can fight him at 160 anyway, Martinez can now fight Felix Sturm in a WBA/WBC unification to decide who is the best Middleweight. Winning a fight like that gives him far more recognition than beating people like Angulo and Margarito.

It's a FAR bigger fight than anything he can get at 154.

Maybe he just doesn't want to go back down seeing as he can probably be more comfortable having to just skip breakfast to make weight

Bull****. Martinez is no kid and should be looking for paychecks not breakfasts.

And the bigger paychecks are at 160. Check my other post.
