One of his opponents Carlos Nascimento had only fought 3 guys with winning records. And he has just signed with Showtime and Paul is with HBO. So I have my doubts as to whether it will happen. Dzinziruk clearly has talent but he has never tested himself against an elite opponent, Julio and Konechy are both good fighters but not really comparable to someone like Williams.

What makes you so sure it will happen?
Dzinziruk has already clearly stated that he wants the fight, he was very verbal about wanting the fight with Paul after the Winky fight, and Paul was looking for an opponent. Dzinziruk's promotional company is what held up a Dzinziruk vs. Williams match up. But Paul would beat Dzinziruk anyday of the week IMHO.

It's possible homie, but I never heard any news about 154 being a hassle to Sergio. But it could be possible.

Not if boxing's savior known as Duddy has anything to do with it.

Idk why he's staying at Middleweight. Maybe he can't make 154 anymore. Idk, I don know that the talent in the 154 pound division is deeper. Dudes looked like they wanted no part of Maravilla so **** it I guess.

I can see the logic in this move. Some might say he is avoiding the competition in the deep 154 weight class but he can still fight those guys if they move up a mere 6 lbs up to 160. Plus most of the top guys at 154 are the kinda fighters that can move up 2 160 for a title shot. Kirkland, Angulo, Williams, & Margarito I'm sure would jump up if the fight made sense.

Paul wants to go to 47 but who would fight him there that brings any money?? Floyd and Pac seem to be on a crash course and I don't see Mosley fighting him in his comeback fight. Berto ain't gonna fight him coming off a torn bicep. P Will's best options seem to be at 154 at the moment

Like some have said I just can't think why it was a good idea to vacate the 54 title when he would still be ring champ at 160. Makes me scratch my damn head.

Damn, my psychic abilities coming into play again. i knew he was going to stay at MW because Pavlik is moving on, Williams doesn't want anymore of Martinez, and 154 is a bunk division moneywise except Cotto who is gonna fight Pac in November because Mayweather wants none of Pac.

There are no good challenges at 154 except Dzindz but he brings in no money. He is gonna whoop this German cat and set up a Sturm fight aterwards.

If Martinez rids the world of the "interim champion" label Universum purchased for Zbik's neck, it will be worth it. After what happened to Karmazin a few weeks ago, Martinez had just better make sure the fight isn't in Germany
