Williams' promoter turned down a Martinez rematch. Their official reason was Williams making a move to 147.

Martinez turned down a Williams offer before as well. Doesnt matter really though because now hes stuck with a mando.

I spoke to him no more then 48 hours ago and he said Dzinziruk is next.

Wow. Does he really think Dzinziruk would take that fight?

Looking at his recent opposition I would be shocked if he did.

Lol just cause he has the WBC 160 belt doesnt mean he cant go back and fight for the 154 title. Hes stated before that he can fight at whatever division he was just pressured into choosing one and I guess he wanted to keep his biggest and most recent accomplishment to date. Sergio already stepped up in weight to fight 2 guys that supposedly shouldve whooped him because of the size advantage and although I feel he won the Williams fight it makes it all better for when they finally square off again. They will eventually fight but first let Martinez give a mandatory a chance to claim a title because thats what champions do they defend their belt against whoever they need no matter how much money they are going to make.

And for the ralph dude if you think Margarito, Angulo, and Cotto can easily beat Martinez then you dont know boxing .Im sure Martinez has more pop than Foreman and would outbox Cotto maybe even stoppage by TKO on cuts because he has scar tissue that would most likely open against Maravilla. With Angulo and Margarito its gonna be simliar but probably by decision cause they got good chins and Martinez isnt really heavy handed. Mayweather is the only one that could put up a good chess match and maybe win. You saw what Winky did the Mosley what makes you think its gonna be any different against Martinez? Floyd proved it again that Mosley although world class cant handle good boxers with movement. Martinez moves more than Mayweather judging on their most recent fights and it would give Mosley all sorts of fits.

Dzinziruk has been wanting to fight the best for years.

Ross Greenburg refused to show Williams-Dzinziruk and that's why the fight didn't happen before.

That's great news, Burner. But will HBO agree to it?

I just have my doubts about whether Dzinziruk would want the fight. You look at his opposition and he's fought pretty limited opposition since he beat Daniel Santos way back in 2005. One of his opponents Carlos Nascimento had only fought 3 guys with winning records. And he has just signed with Showtime and Paul is with HBO. So I have my doubts as to whether it will happen. Dzinziruk clearly has talent but he has never tested himself against an elite opponent, Julio and Konechy are both good fighters but not really comparable to someone like Williams.

What makes you so sure it will happen?

It's ok Iceta, cause as soon as JCC Jr. gets the strap, he'll more than likely lose it in his very next fight, as he will have to defend against one of the top tier contenders at 154 and not ready made opponents.

just a thought....maybe he don't wanna try to make weight at 154 anymore? why fight at that weight and not be in yo best shape to fight the top opponets then fight at your best weight?
