This better be a joke. Absolutely ridiculous if true.

You spend 16 pages decrying the Evils of the 'British media' (in defence of Haye).

Yet are now ignoring the uttering credulity of the British public.

The British public is controlled by the British media.

Oh, come on. That's just your 'I'm an objective boxing fan' screed.

I wasn't expecting Malignaggi to beat Khan. Doesn't make me any less of a Huge fan.

Haye-Audley might make some profit, but nothing compared to if he fought a Klitschko.

I didn't use the British media are ' evil ' in defense of Haye, I post about any British articles. Whether they're on Khan or some other fighter/fight, because half the time people in the threads don't read the articles and only follow the title.

Do you think I'm really that ****** or blind to try and defend Haye?

Come on MIB, even a nuthugger like me can see there is no possible way of defending Haye's actions.

If it can be a million-seller (and an 'exciting' fight), that doesn't matter. They can make a money-train out of Haye with the right matchups, anyway, because the British public is credulous as hell. Even a boxing hardcore media guy like Bunce will tell the people that any Haye fight is an essential fight.

As far as I'm aware, that's the *first* time you've explicitly said it in this thread. Well done.

That doesn't mean you're not a big fan, BTW. It just means that, as a big Haye fan, you don't want to see your guy in matchups that are beneath him.

          Well done?

I've said that about 5 times already, just not as blatant as that. Do I have to spell everything out now?

I'm not a big Haye fan for fuck sake.

I want the guy to fight Wlad/Vitali, that's it. I don't care about his career, I don't care about who he'd fight in a tune-up. I didn't even watch his fight against Ruiz, I had to catch the highlights on Youtube.

          Some fan I am.

If you're so sure Haye won't fight Audley before the Klitschkos why don't you accept my bet?

Because he doesn't want to lose his e-points. :'(

Yes, you have to be clear. You didn't explicitly (or even obliquely) state anything of the sort, that I could see. You're only stating it explicitly now to save face.

David Haye is top of your list of 'Heroes'. You've always spoken of him with great fondness here. I'd say you're a big fan.

Oh, shush. You only didn't see it live because you're a teenager and didn't have £15 for Sky Box Office. Your parents probably weren't sympathetic.

Naturally, your interest is waning because you wanted to see him fight a Kiltschko and dethrone them. That was your dream. We both know that if Haye fought and beat a Klitschko, if Haye gave you your dream, your interest would be galvanized again and you would be all about his subsequent options.

I mean, I'm no bigtime Haye booster and yet I "care about his career" as a boxing fan. There are other good fights out there for Haye. It's not just Audley or a Klitschko or nothing.

Even though I could have easily gotten a stream to watch it?

                Yeah, nice one.

                Dream?

Fucking hell, that's a strong word. If Haye fights a Klitschko, he'll lose. We both know this and to be honest, Haye isn't even my favourite boxer. We can keep running around in circles and you can keep bringing up that heroes list, which was made well over a year ago.

But I know my stance on Haye. I'm not a fan anymore of him, the games he plays bore me.

I don't care much about his career, I'd rather watch those who have their whole careers ahead of them. If Haye beats a Klitschko, I'll give him his props and that's it.

Frankie Gavin is by far my favourite, it would be my dream to watch Frankie become a great fighter.

If Haye retired tomorrow, I wouldn't be bothered.

It's obvious from this thread that love for the Hayemaker lives strong deep down inside of you.

All Haye needs to do is grant you your dream, and your passion for him will be reignited.

I don't know how any boxing fan could miss Haye-Ruiz and boast about it, BTW. Haye was throwing bombs in there and Ruiz was a Lionheart, it was a hell of a fun event.

Gavin needs to change that awful nickname. My non-boxing friends LOL @ that when I try to sell him to them ("that's a fucking joke, mate"). They like David Haye quite a lot these days, though. They'd likely be excited for the Harrison fight.

Yeah, Funtime is a ****e nickname.

My love for Hayemaker never existed. He's a loud mouthed, explosive and entertaining fighter who's fights hardly ever go the distance. Anyone would be a fan of his talk, but that's all it is so far.

He will fight a Klitschko, how long it takes him to is the question..

                    What is my dream?

One of Britain's best domestic heavyweights..... Hmm no.

                      It's not marketable.
So you know more about making money than Sky's top executives know? Are you a millionaire? They are.

If it wasn't marketable, Sky wouldn't be interested, and you know it.

The marketing of it will be a complete con, and all real boxing fans have lost their respect for Haye because of this, but to say that Sky don't know how to make money and that you are a better businessman than Sky's executives are is just ******.

The sad fact is that most of the media in the UK are just cheerleaders, and that most of the British sporting public knows next to nothing about boxing. All they care about is that one of their fighters is a so-called world champion (the fact that it's a paper title doesn't register with most of them), and that another is a former Olympic champion and a current European champion. They mostly don't even know that Audley recently lost to a taxi driver, or that he wouldn't have a hope of beating anyone in the top 20. And they mostly don't care, anyway, because all they care about is that two British fighters will be fighting for "the" heavyweight championship of the world. It's screwed up patriotism with knobs on and has nothing to do with sport. But that's no excuse to try to pretend that Sky don't know how to run a business, because they're one of the world's most profitable companies, so you just make yourself look ridiculous when you say that.
