Haye was never a ' hero '.

It was just a list of fighters I liked at the time, which explains why RJJ is there. I was a fan of Haye at Cruiserweight. He was exciting, some predicted him to lose to Enzo and he beat him in fashion.

Moved up to Heavyweight, hasn't delivered yet. But I expected him to at least have fought a Klitschko by now, especially after him calling out Wlad to his face. At the moment Haye is playing games with the brothers, I can't be bothered with games. I've gone off Haye a little, his fights against Valuev and Ruiz weren't great in my eyes. Although the media managed to make it seem like he was the second coming of Lewis.

I wouldn't consider myself a Haye fan now, maybe a year or two ago. But I'm more interested in my British prospects atm.

Fair enough, I just don't think you should say that he will clear the division then. He can't even get in the ring with the other champs and fighting Klitschko left-overs and old past-it has beens. He is not clearing anything.

You are right though, there are maybe 2-3 posters who defend Gaye still, but by and large his fan base on these boards has scurried away like ****roaches when the light is turned on.

Did Gaye ever plan to fight the brothers? He probably did at one point, but after he saw what Wlad did to an undefeated Chagaev and a top-rated Chambers and what Vitaly did to undefeated young top prospects Arreola and Johnson. He said to himself: "F-that, I got this trinket of a belt that really should belong to Wlad, the Brit wankers are going to shell out their hard earned quid no matter who I fight. Add to it that these "Haye supporters" have either some English-soccer-team-avatar or use words like "cheers" or "mate" and you know that the only support Haye has left are some local drunk soccer fans.
