IMO Andre Ward is a very good boxer, but I think he's almost as good as he's going to get. His lack of power is what keeps him from being a great fighter.

lol, compare PBF to him, PBF has no big power and does just fine

            Ward is 21-0 with 13KO
            Mayweather at 21-0 had 15KO

            another stat is
            Ward rounds boxed 115 KO% 61.9
            Mayweather rounds boxed 299 KO% 60.98

I think Ward will do just fine, I am not saying he is the next PBF, but he is and will get better.

Now if ward had power like paulie malignaggi or yuri foreman, then , yeah I would agree with you 100%

Very dangerous fight for him on Saturday night. Very. Ward is still a mystery to me. While the Kessler win is impressive, Green has talent and a good corner in John David Jackson. I expect Ward to be tested. If and how he passes will say a lot about him.

What stands out to me about Ward is his mentality, for a young fighter he has a very mature head on his shoulders, his mentality coupled with his physical gifts make him a very dangerous fighter.

Agreed - he's so focused. And a lot tougher than he looks and is given credit for. He roughed up Miranda and Kessler in successive bouts. But I still see some flaws. We'll see. I'd like to see him do well but I'm not throwing my eggs in his basket just yet.

Definitely, there are flaws there, he leaves himself square when he switches stances and drops his hands etc. I'm not sure if Green is the guy to really test him though, Green has good speed and very good power but I'm not sure if he's mentally good enough to test Ward, he got confused by Simms, and there have been other moments in the past where he's shown his frustration when he can't catch his opponents with his big shots.

Agreed. Did John David Jackson just come onboard for Green or has he always been there? I wonder if he'll make a difference in terms of training and strategy, as well as correcting flaws.
