what do you guys think of Andre Ward?

He's very good at keeping his chin tucked and protecting it in general. I don't think he has a terrible chin but he definitely can be hurt and everyone in the super 6 + Bute can crack hard. I wouldn't be suprised to see him take a loss or two during his career via being KO'd but i don't think it'll be a real factor that gets exposed frequently throughout his career.
just my opinion.Comment

that's inaccurate comparison. floyd's ko ratio spanned through multiple weight divisions and ward's level of competition is amateurish compared to floyd. take away kessler and miranda out of wards resume and you got a bunch of unknown fighters. not only that...floyd grabbed a title in each division he fought. if ward can dominate SMW, go up to LHW and get a title then maybe you can start talking about comparison.lol, compare PBF to him, PBF has no big power and does just fine
Ward is 21-0 with 13KO
Mayweather at 21-0 had 15KO
another stat is
Ward rounds boxed 115 KO% 61.9
Mayweather rounds boxed 299 KO% 60.98
I think Ward will do just fine, I am not saying he is the next PBF, but he is and will get better.
Now if ward had power like paulie malignaggi or yuri foreman, then , yeah I would agree with you 100%Comment

I've been following him since he was in the ams. Very talented fighter. Skill set is impressive. I like his focus and dedication to his sport. As talented as he is, he still has things to work on, and I'm looking for him to get better with each fight. I'm looking for him to be more under controll in this fight yet still physical, smart and aggressive. I picked him to win the Super Six when it started and I'm confident in that pick. I've really been looking forward to this fight with Green. Should test him for sure.Comment

Learn to read homie, the comparison to PBF is only on punching power and both fighters at only 21 fights into their careers, nothing more, read qoute from alb829 belowthat's inaccurate comparison. floyd's ko ratio spanned through multiple weight divisions and ward's level of competition is amateurish compared to floyd. take away kessler and miranda out of wards resume and you got a bunch of unknown fighters. not only that...floyd grabbed a title in each division he fought. if ward can dominate SMW, go up to LHW and get a title then maybe you can start talking about comparison.

Now you go on about Kessler and Miranda, yeah, but PBF at 21 fights into his career only has one name I know and thats Angel Manfredy
I could of said the same and compared Ward to Sugar Ray Leonard, at 21 fights, he too (like ward) was 21-0 with only 13 KOs
Remember, we are talking punching power, alb829 said he doesnt think Ward will get any better cause of his lack of power
My Reply to alb829

i know what you're trying to say but my point is floyd was successful because of his skills more than his punching power. the same can't be said about ward (at least not yet) because i think his skill set hasn't been really tested. he had a couple of good wins and that's it. if he can get through green and dirrel then it's safe to say that even without too much power in his punches his skills can carry him through.Comment
