since Green will be one of the biggest punchers Andre has faced in his career, it will be interesting to see how he goes about breaking Green down. Kessler has descent pop too and Ward did alot of punching off the hold, which was smart. He also made sure to be the first to throw. Green does have a shot, since if Andre plans to use the same quickness on the inside and after the break to score, Green's left hook may be able to connect if he times it after a Ward jab. that left hook/ uppercut Green throws has put a lot of guys on their ass, and it's because Green has the patience to wait for that shot. Andre im sure has a great gamplan, and i can see him using his speed, and putting together some really crisp combos from the get go. whatver works from round one, Ward will just continue until Green forces himself into the fight. if he can't make a statement early, Andre will outwork him. Green should be in the best shape of his life, and i expect to see him live up to the hype, win or lose.
Allan Green will knock Andre Ward out

If he can avoid those devastating headbutts, he might beat him. Green only wins by KO, he doesn't have it in him to decision Ward IMO.
Alot of ppl are overlooking Green but the guy has nothing to lose with 0 points in the tourney, he has to unleash the beast to get a foothold and he knows that a KO = 3 points, tied with AA.
He will pressure Ward, take him out of his game and look to stop him late if he doesn't catch him early. Ward will try to win a borefest in Oaktown.Comment

Have you actually seen the odds of Ward winning? If you bet $10 on Ward to win and he wins you will win $11.13. They are giving you a really good deal IF you think that Green is going to win but it is a waste of time to bet on Ward to win.Comment

It wasn't a "major" problem until he lost and needed an excuse for a pretty sad performance.
Even if you do give him the benefit of the doubt on that one it still doesn't explain why a guy who supposedly has so much power could not knock out the punching bag named Rubin Williams. After all Epifanio Mendoza, Jeff Lacy, ANDRE WARD, Eduard Gutneckt, Chris Henry and some guy named Les Sherrington were all able to do it.
It doesn't explain why Green needed 7 rounds to get rid of the ancient Carl Daniels when Middleweight prospect Andy Lee did it in 3 after only 7 pro fights.
It doesn't explain why he failed to knock out a completely overmatched and untested Tarvis Simms in his past fight.
Green's reputation as a puncher comes solely from the Codrington fight. People seem to think that he has some special power but the fact of the matter is that he doesn't.Comment

I don't know about "major", he passed all the pre fight tests and physicals after all.

Still, as I said earlier, it would be a gigantic upset if Green was to become the first fighter in the s6 to win in the opponents backyard.Comment
