Tua has no chance against anyone with good lateral movement and decent defence. He wouldn't be able to land a single meaningful punch against either Klitschko or even against Chambers. He might get the odd punch through against Adamek or Haye but not enough to seriously damage them, and they would both outwork him over 12 rounds. Even Valuev would be able to keep him on the outside.

Solis would beat Valuev now, IMO.

I like Tua, but I agree: he would be eating jabs all night against either Klitschko and he is just too small to get inside on them -- it would be a replay of his loss to Lennox Lewis, only worse, because he would get really beat up badly by either Wlad or Vitali.

Valuev should fight Solis since he really lost his last two fights...He would get beaten into retirement if he fought the Klitschko's...I think many of the heavyweight fighters that lost to the Klitschkos should just retire! Make way for the new guys to come out and fight. The only older guys I give any chance/credit to is David Tua, James Toney, and Shannon Briggs and I guess that's because neither of them has ever fought a Klitschko before...

Everyone else has eeked through decisions, i'd love to see Vitali war with this guy and pund him up.

But he is still with King, so what's changed? Is he going to tell King to accept less this time? Or does he really imagine that Vitali will offer him more now?

The other thing I don't understand is why the negotiations with Solis failed. The winner of that fight would have been Vitali's mandatory, and Valuev seemed to believe that once he was the mandatory, he'd be able to get a better deal. I find it hard to believe that Solis would have priced himself out of such a major opportunity for him, and it's odd that the article doesn't say what the sticking point was.

I think the negotiations with Solis failed because Valuev realized Solis is too dangerous a fight, so he has probably decided to just fight Vitali right away and cash out.
