PLus Miguel has much more offensively to offer than anyone Floyd has faced. Ricky Hatton had success in thier fight and couldve taken a win in that situation had he had some sort of defensive plan on the counter punches.

Problem is Hatton leaves his hands down and chin exposed, perfect for the best counter pouncher in the game. Cotto is a whole different animal who can slip in and out and counter with precision better than anyone Mayweather has fought
no matter what u think, mosely is has a lot more offensive weapons than cotto. cotto would have never been in the situation that mosely was in because cotto is not a big puncher, he doesnt have that ovehand right. and cotto doesnt slip ****, he gets hit and hit some more. if antonio margarito was able to hit is ass at will, mayweather would tee off on him all fight. u are overestimating cotto and underestimate mayweather.

cotto is no ring general. he has skills but he is limited, this has been proven time and time again. the dude cant even clinch, he's too flatfooted, and his defense is ****. bad combination for anyone to claim he could beat of of the two best fighters in the world.

On top of my previous post on your post, Cotto DOES have JUST AS MUCH POWER AS MOSLEY. It was COTTOS power that made mosley think twice about going to war with him in the later rounds of thier fight. Mosley admitted he was buzzed frequently throughout the fight.

What Cotto does better than Shane is he puts power in combination attached with pretty much the best Jab at the 147lb division. Mayweather can beat Cotto if he plays it smart, which he always does. BUT its a SUPER risk that I dont think he will take

Cotto will beat baldomir with his eyes closed.he would give him a boxing lesson or a body shot and he's gone. baldomir is way way overrated. now mayweather may beat cotto but he doesn't have the heart to get it on. mayweather might have the boxing skills but not the power to threatin cotto. so it would be a good fight.

I am putting Cotto where I feel he deserves to be given his trakc record. His only losses are to the greatest fighter of this generation and a proven cheater. AND he fought all the best in the 147lb divison with the exception of Floyd.

Margarito has had success with MANY good fighters including Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey, Cintron and Martinez. So to say that if Margarito had success ANYONE can is kind of unfair to Cotto especially since Margs cheated. Margarito is no slouch and comes forward like a monster. But Floyd leaves room for fighters to breathe which is perfect for Cotto not to Gas. not to mention Floyd may have a stiff punch but I think COtto can eat those all day if he can eat Plaster Gloves and the fastest Hands in the phillipines.

I feel that Mayweather really hasnt fought a prime opponent. Mosley was good but you can see where the athleticism always conquers Shane in both the fights between Mosley and Cotto

Mosley Clottey Judah Malignaggi all conquer that Cotto was a heavy handed SOB. Shane Mosley may hit hard but in his combinations only one may account for with some power the rest are just flickered out there as a bad habbit

Know one really knows how good mayweather really is. since he moved up to 147 he has not proven nothing a few big names in lower weight classes who had to move up to his wieght, a pass there prime delahoya and mosley. so who knows what mayweather has in his system. not saying cotto will beat him but cotto proved himself in every wieght class he fights in.

dude, i like cotto n ive followed his career. never was there a moment when i had him confused with a power puncher. his best punch is that liver blow (which is a great weapon) but that wont land on mayweather. he just doesnt have any tools that makes me think he'll be a danger. sure he's closest to castillo than any fighter floyd has fougth in a while. but i dnt think floyd will have trouble with a castillo like fighter anymore.
