i wldnt go tht far. but can someone please tell me one advantage a guy like cotto has over floyd. he's not faster, proly not tht much stronger, not smarter, doesnt move as well...i dnt see anything. ppl say a bad matchup for floyd. i dnt see it. so im waiting for this explaination.

Floyd encountered some actual power against Mosley, If cotto was on the counter instead of Shane , Cotto couldve seriously dropped Mayweather

Cottos best fights are against defensive style fighters, COttos only weakness is relentless pressure.

He has already faced the best offensive arsenal at 147 and hung in 12 rounds, I gaurantee he hangs in with Floyd and has the opportunity to hurt him. Shane Mosleys old tired self couldve beat floyd if he wasnt so excited. Miguel Cotto shines in such moments.

PLus Miguel has much more offensively to offer than anyone Floyd has faced. Ricky Hatton had success in thier fight and couldve taken a win in that situation had he had some sort of defensive plan on the counter punches.

Problem is Hatton leaves his hands down and chin exposed, perfect for the best counter pouncher in the game. Cotto is a whole different animal who can slip in and out and counter with precision better than anyone Mayweather has fought

I still think Cotto has the best style to beat Mayweather. I honestly think he might have a better chance than Pac as well. Either that or get a clinic by Mayweather.

See thats where your wrong, Cotto does have a right hand but has been reluctant to use it since he has pretty much trained himself since 2007. I mean just watch Cotto vs Jennings, Clottey and Pacquiao. Then watch his newest performance, his footwork and right hand are back into his game. Hell even his left hook has improved

At one point Miguel started to fight like a heavyweight utilizing no footwork at all in combination and he would PLOD just like margs does. Steward brought the stud back. He can only get better from here

I really cant call a winner for this fight cause in my head its 50/50. BUT Mayweathers career is blemish free and he hasnt taken as much punishment as Cotto. However I dont think Mayweather has the goods to break Cotto down like good pressure fighters do, its just not his style.

WHich is why I say the fight NEVER happens. Cotto has already stated hes open to drug tests the day of the fight with blood to prove he is clean. Its just too dangerous for Mayweather to consider.
