Yeah better testing in "his" fights and "his" fights only. He's not exactly crusading around the country and going to commisions demanding better testing now is he.
Others have been taken initiative and it's starting to make the rounds. It's even crossed over into MMA.

You can twitter him and thank him yourself.

More people should follow suit by refusing to pay sanctioning fees and maybe we can start to rid boxing of some of these useless titles.

Thank you Mr. Mayweather for once again trying to make the sport better.

          Now flame away

You now what, in retrospect I agree with you considering that the WBA now has two champions at Featherweight and they never pushed for the two to fight each other.

Gamboa for awhile was the Interim WBA Feathweight Champ with Chris John being the real WBA champ. Somehow they got rid of the interim and now both Chris John and Gamboa are all over the place defending their WBA titles in the same weight class. Pathetic.

None of you would pay $250,000 for the WBA to sanction a bout so stop it. Floyd was absolutely right. If he beats Manny would it be better if he paid $400k for some diamond belt?

Well exactly, Floyd has reached a point in his career where he doesn't need the titles anymore. He is the biggest money maker out there and will be considered one of the best, if not THE best 147 pounder even if he doesn't win the WBA or the WBO Title.

BUT lets not pretend like sanctioning body titles have no use or place in boxing. There are some fighters out there who simply can't make a living without those titles. Guys who can't get TV dates, or can't land a big money fight vs a HBO fighter. The only way they make a living is to fight their way to a mandatory position with one of the sanctioning bodies and force the Title holder to fight them.

The Heavyweight division particularly depends on those titles. There is no other form of organization that's gonna regulate who fights whom at heavyweight other then the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO.

A young fighter like ww mike jones. If he fights quality fights and makes a name for himself he can get fights with the big boys. He can be ranked #1 by ring magazine and earn the ring title without ever holding a major sanction belt. James Kirkland, when he comes out of jail can make great money as long as he keeps winning. He doesn''t need a belt.

The organizations don't determine who is the best. For example, Carlos Baldomir was the lineal ww champ but many people had him as the 5th best ww at the time.

You really think better testing hasn't been discussed before? Seriously man trying to give Floyd credit for people "discussing" something is a little over the top.
