What's the problem with Khan fighting JMM?

Why are people giving Khan stick for wanting to fight the JMM/Diaz winner? Which will be JMM of course. Not too long ago Floyd Mayweather fought JMM..

Maidana's not fighting until after his managerial problems have been resolved, and Bradley and Alexander have other fights.

People will argue that Khan is much bigger (5ft10 to JMM's 5ft7) but Mayweather was also much bigger than JMM. Floyd was a natural welterweight and fought at 146 (JMM was 142lbs). Moreover, Floyd had a 1 inch height advantage (nothing at all) but he had a 5 inch reach advantage. Khan has a 4inch reach advantage over JMM. Also Khan will be fighting JMM at 140lbs, Khan will probably weigh in at 139 1/2lbs, JMM will probably be 138lbs.

So as you can see the fight is pretty balanced in comparison to the Mayweather fight. Mayweather had a reach and big weight advantage, where as Khan would have a size and reach advantage.

I'm a Khan fan and I'm pretty upset that he's not fighting a JWW next, I would have like to have seen Mabuza, Olusugen, McCloskey, Kamegai (who is similar in size to Khan and has an 86% KO rating, would have been interesting) or Peterson.

However, it would be interesting to see how Khan will cope with a counter-puncher, and whether he can TKO JMM. Mayweather didn't manage it and I'm sure that if Khan can TKO him then his reputation in the USA will definitely increase.

Also, JMM is ranked 3rd P4P so it's not a bad scalp at all. If Khan was still able to make 135lbs, he should move down and try to win JMM's WBO and WBA-super Lightweight titles and become a unified champ. But he can't so oh well.

Khan is supposed to be the 140 WBA Champion. He should fight guys his own size or vacate.

I'm sure Maidana's managerial problems will be solved by the end of the year around the time Amir Khan is planning to fight.

Bradley and Alexander have other fights for November do they? He said he wants to fight the top guys at 140, he's turned down a 140 tournament and wants to fight old lightweights. He's got no intention of fighting the top guys.

Then why did Mayweather fight Marquez at 147? That was far more of a disadvantage to Marquez than a Khan-Marquez fight at 140 would ever be. Why the double-standards?

and he got **** for it or do we forget this?

then fight someone else in your own division.

here is a question for you. Does the fact that JMM went all the way back down to 135 mean anything to you?

God stop spinning this like the Mayweather JMM fight was anything other than a tune up for a comebacking Floyd

Are people really underestimating JMM? The guy is only a future Hall of Famer and yeah the guy is older and smaller but are people seriously considering Maidana, Alexander, and Bradley bigger threats. What have they exactly accomplished when compared to JMM?

Seriously you guys forget that Marquez is one of the smartest fighter in boxing right now. Im talking Hopkins/Mayweather smart in the ring so that has to count for something.

                  neither is effective past 135
                  this has been proven
                  140 is stacked
I was ok with Paulie fight, nothing wrong with that
but this decision deserve to be dissed

at 140, a weight he is not familiar with, at age 36, and with his best days behind him?

that's not underestimating him thats being real

and while I would venture to say he Hopkins and Mayweather are the smartest fighters in the ring currently the decline in physical tools is going to make up for it.

let's not forget he went to war with Diaz to get the win and struggled against a faded Casamayor so how people do not see the decline in his physical skills is beyond me
