A perfect comparison is like pulling the strings of a "thunder bird" dummy and showing it on PPV tv.

Exactly. When Khan starts fighting the top guys in his own division i will show some interest. Until then i won't buy into his hype.

As they say, "pick on someone your own size". Khan is a bully. I hope the victim (marquez/diaz) rises up and teaches him a lesson.

Were going back to the school yard here.

As soon as he steps in with a top guy at 140 like Bradley, Alexander or Maidana this will happen again:

If you guys knew anything about boxing you would not under-rate JMM. Its a ****** thing to do. Khan has always said July 31 would be a keep busy fight but this is a pretty risky keep busy fight.

Pac-man only got an SD against JMM. JMM beat Casamayor on TKO. JMM is a top ten P4P above guys like Haye, Bradley, Maragrito, Cotto and Khan.

There is no doubt Khan is being seasoned for Maidana with this fight. This is a risk. JMM is a reknowned puncher with 37 KOs out of 50 wins and all boxing fans with even a tiny amount of knowledge will tell you punch power doesn't come with weight. It comes naturally.

Probably alexander with his precision power punches, but not with maidana.

Yes I do agree with that completely.

Maidiana should not have chosen money to step aside. Maidiana should have refused this then Khan would have had to fight him or vacate his title. Maidiana choose money over legacy here. Bradley, alexander and Maidiana hardly seem to fight each other or Khan either.

Boxing is a very risky sport, for all Khan knows he could step up and fight a top JWW and get KOed in the first round yet again. Khans team were able to recover the first time but I doubt he would keep his fanbase and draw if he was to get KOed yet again.

If his draw goes then he wont be able to get another decent payday. By fighting lightweights he can make big money a JMM fight will make him more than one with Bradley, Alexander or Maidiana for less risk. If Khan wanted he could just fight bums in England and make an easy 1 million a fight.

Say you were Khan would you step up and risk getting KOed or fight people who would earn you similar amounts of money for less risk.

I dont by into the whole Khan hype but I dont dislike him for ducking fighters because hes just doing what every boxer does really. People like PBF and Pac have ducked tougher opposition for fights that represent lower risk and more money.

Also while Khans opposition may not be the best its not as if hes Chavez JR fighting bums. Khan has dominated two top ten JR WWs in Mallinaggi and Kotelnik. Hard to fault him for fights earlier because boxers have to pad up the records to get title shots and build up a fanbase.

I prefer boxers like Cotto, he will fight anyone and wants the top fights. Boxers like Mayweather and Khan don't interest me at all, all they are interested in is the most money for the least risk.

I agree Khan should be doing what Cotto did back in 2004 and unifying the titles. But all Cotto really had to do back then was beat a 32 year old Australian.

Khan's challenge is a lot broader and the belts are all over the place with Bradley ducking the division.
