    So yeah I disagree.

Al Albert? wasn't he the one with Sean O'Grady from the old Tuesday Night Fights on USA network back in the early 90s?

Teddy Atlas is Teddy Atlas. The things that make him appealing (outspokeness, brazen attitude towards authority) also tick off a lot of people. I for one think he is good for the sport because he is one of those characters you read about in books.

I used to be the biggest Kellerman detractor but ever since he moved to HBO and picked up the slack for Merchant, he has really come into his own as a commentator and pundit. His views can be radical and unpopular but you can see he has lots of enthusiasm for the sport.

I really dislike the guy and he is simply not good at his job.

I think Showtime are pretty good overall. I like Manny Steward and Larry Merchant on HBO.
I agree but I think Larry Merchant is like the king of negativity. Lampley is a very positive announcer, he keeps his personal hate for fighters to himself and gives them props on TV.

The only reason writers and commentators are so easily able to create interest in matchups for other sports is because it revolves around teams and communities. not just 2 specific individuals.
Marbury isn't a top NBA player, he never was. He was more of a B/C- level. Kind of like Devin Harris, guys who plays good enough to get recognized..

            I personally really like Kellerman.

But I disagree it there are better boxing announcers out there it is just that HBO is so stubborn to change their main crew, we all saw roy jones jr. do it nicely. On ESPN 2 I like Teddy Atlas too sometimes he is a bit over dramatic but generally good. And its ashame joe tessitore isnt there anymore i liked that guy.

I don't know. I heard Marv do some olympic stuff and some older fights.

Cut me some slack bro. Way to nitpick the insignificant details to detract from my very valid message. lol

                  Tessitore is still there.

I think Teddy Atlas turns away potential new fans with his his constant bitching, his inability to cover his dislike toward some boxers, and his overall negativity. After all, ESPN2 is free TV and reaches more people than HBO. Teddy is not good for our sport.

ABC and ESPN are Laker haters and biased toward the Celts.

You obviously haven't watched many NBA games or read articles... Tons of hate goes around Kobe, Wade, Shaq, Lebron etc... You just have to listen to different broadcasts.
