    what a ****in JOKE!

I posted something about Golden Boy and Amir Khan last week, it is so obvious they will protect this guy as much as they can, Amir has absolutely no intentions on fighting Bradley or Alexander, he might end up fighting Maidana since they are both under Golden Boy Promotions

what will eventually happen is that Khan will soon start to make excuses and say "Bradley and Alexander are not known they don't generate money blah blah blah" and that will be his excuse to move up without ever unifying the titles like he said he would before leaving 140 lbs. division

they will continue to match him up with either OLD GUYS or guys with No Power to test that suspect chin

ffs Khan, i was starting to come around after his speech about doing the tourny, im glad i said actions speak louder than words and waited to see what his intentions were.

Looks like McCloskey might get that shot after all lol.

It's very disappointing. The biggest joke is that Khan said he joined GBP because he wanted the big fights at 140. What a load of garbage.

I don't know...some of you guys are saying Golden Boy don't need to participate in this tournament and neither does Khan because he's the money maker...yes he is, but that didn't stop Tito from entering the Middleweight Tournament in 2001....but then again Don King had all the fighters in that tournament.....it's hard to do this kind of thing really. Super Six is exceptional and look how many arguements they're having now. Not only that none of the super six fighters are big....Jermaine Taylor was getting the biggest slice of the money (as the biggest draw) in the group stages until he pulled out. So I can see why Golden Boy wouldn't want to enter as they can make big fights for Khan themselves. But at same time....it would be amazing for us fans to see something like this, but when do we ever get what we want?

I aint believinh this **** until its official. Shaw has lied in the past and came off convincing. Until theres no official tourment taking place without Maidana and Khan in mind mind its BS.

If one did take place and Khan wasn't in it, it would piss me the **** off. All that talk needs to be backed up. GBP need to grow some balls and Khan needs to make it clear that he wants to enter.

That's so weaksauce! JMM should not even be part of this and defend his title at 135. I like Marquez, but I get the feeling that he doesn't want to fight Katsidids...

                    Honest question here-

Is there really even a point of a tourney at 147? The point of the super 6 was to speed up great matchups but it seems to me that 140 is playing out perfectly.

Ortiz and Khan effectively finished off Campbell and Malignaggi accordingly, and we have 5 guys (Alexander, Bradley, Maidana, Ortiz & Khan) that are considered the very elite guys at that class. Bradley and Alexander will fight, and Khan will more than likely face Maidana. The winner will face off and/or take an Ortiz fight....then bam we have a top guy.

IMO Khan did the right thing solely based on the fact he will face these guys anyway and he is trying to establish his star/marketing ability so why tie yourself down to a pointless tourney? Again Khan vs Ortiz will happen but later on when both are stars, and I see Khan facing Maidana next then the Bradley vs Alexander winner. Also I like the fact Khan declined the tourney because he can take quick fights here and there in the UK like he was trying to do with the date with Casamayor/Katsidis potential fight.

***** move by Khan if this is true.

But then again any proper 140 pound tournament should include Bradley, Alexander, Maidana, Khan, and Ortiz.

JMM should only be thrown in there if you need a sixth man.
