What a joke Cotto beats a feather fisted one legged fighter and now he is back to being great.The guy was breathing hard in the 4th round already.I dont hear Cotto wanting to fight Margo i wonder why?So stans keep fighting his fight because he sure dont want none.

Cotto has always been great. His only two losses are to a cheat and teh greatest fighter this decade has ever seen.

Margarito is the fraud who shouldve not been able to box since his biggest career wins have been due to his unfair and disgraceful advantage.

Look at 154 Miguel Cotto controlled the bigger man and broke him down. That leg injury was an out from the fight. Cotto started to turn the heat up in the 7th and that scared Foreman.

Margarito on the other hand comes back to fight a slow and wreckless non skilled BUM and gets worn down and ends up running from the guy in the later rounds. The fight was actually a very close one if you watch the entire fight, however the ref, judges , hell if you understand spanish youll know the announcers were all in bed for margarito.

im not saying it was a gift win but the crads shouldve been closer than what they ended up being.

So all in all its a sad state of affairs for Margarito and his future in boxing if he fights any elite and that includes miguel cotto!

I'm not making that comparison. I'm not saying anything about comparing Cotto's fight to this one.

He fought a guy...who has fought nobody...to say he went up against a guy with an iron chin (simply because he's never been knocked out...well duh...there's lots of fighter who never fought anybody who haven't been knocked out), great stamina, good skill, is completely disengenious.

I think people are basing it off the fact he took Margritos punches.

Out of 45 bouts, Marg has 27KOs..there have been fighters with much higher KO %, both out of wins and total fights. Because Marg is not a power boxer, he's a volume boxer, and yes, his wins are suspect no. Period.

He is guilty until he proves he can KO a top fighter again.

So again, given in this fight he *boxed*, didn't go with his press volume style, and we're in post hand wraps land....what about this fight proves Garcia has a good chin?

I dont buy it.

Cotto hit him with prefect shots, but didnt have the power to hurt him. SMM did have the power.

I dont think Marg shook off Cottos shots because he had handwraps.




But, its possible because he didnt have handwraps against SMM, he didnt have the punch to slow down and weaken SMM like he did Cotto.
Maybe its possible Cotto could have eventually broken down Marg if he wasnt busted up, but i doubt that.

Exactly, it's about styles. We all know Cotto is the more skilled fighter but that doesn't mean he will win.

I think Marg get's hit a lot with Cotto but I also think Cotto get's hit a lot with Marg.

I don't think either one is the same fighter as before and in seeing the Cotto vs Foreman fight, the few times Foreman had success, is when he was pushing Cotto backwards.

Cotto is not the same fighter going backwards, he's just not and Marg does nothing but come forward and absorb shots.

Personally, I think we would see the same type fight and I even think Marg would KO him sooner. Unless Marg is shot but he didn't look shot to me, he looked rusty but over a year out of the ring will do that to you.

So if they fight and Cotto kicks the **** out of him,

will you use the excuse that he's shot or that for certain he was using plaster in their first fight?
